PCM19720815CITY PIAN COMMISSION 0 CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 15. 1972 CITY HALL Secretary Basse called the meeting to order at 8:15 P. M. in the absence of Mayor Gottfried. PRESENT: Secretary Alvin Basse, Clark Barry, William Chase, Edward Raimann and Donald Yahr. Planning Consultant Joseph Mangiamele and. Zoning Officer Gerald Lee were also present. ABSENT: Mayor Jerome Gottfried and Ald. Paul Schaumberg MINUTES: The minutes of the previous meeting of August lst, 1972, were approved as mailed. PERSONAL APPEARANCES """"" AL EVIMUDE - PARKLAND PLAZA - Mr. Evinrude, representative from Paschke & Associates, appeared and submitted revised plans for carports to be constructed in the Parkland Plaza, Phase I, condominium develop- ment. It was noted by the Commission that the elevations had been prepared by Paschke & Associates August 15th, 1972. Mr. Evinrude Commission had objected to metal carports and suggested that the materials reviewed the Plan Commission minutes of July 18th, 1972, in which the used in the apartment structures. asphalt shingles and wood which will match the apartment structures. The Commission expressed concern that the carports might be used for storage purposes rather than parking and that additions might be constructed by the condominium owner. Mr. Evinrude advised that the condominium agreement specifies that there cannot be alterations to the structures without approval of the association. Mr. Chase moved to approve the plans for carports as submitted purposes and subject to the city's receipt of the condominium agreement subject to the condition that these areas will not be used for storage which indicates that there will not be any alterations to the buildings. Mr. Chase moved to approve the certified survey map subject to approval by the city engineer and subject to the attorney's opinion concerning dedicated roads. Mr. Yahr seconded the motion and the motion carried. LADD MAREK - Mr. Marek, L & L Litho Company, appeared and presented for the Commission's review, an artisrs sketch of his proposed building to be construc ted in the city's industrial park, same received with approval by the Commission. KEN WESTCOIT - Mr. Westcott, S82 W12998 Acker Drive, appeared in regard to the proposed development of the Otto Kurth property in Section 11. It was noted by the Commission that this property is zoned RSA and lies just south of the Durham Meadows Subdivision. It was also noted that this proposal had been referred to Planning Consultant Mangiamele and Engineer Barry for review and report at the previous meeting. report, however, would be willing to work with Mr. Westcott on an alternative layout. RALPH IASSA - The Commission reviewed a request for legal status Page 3 - Plan Commission 0 August 15, 1972 MUS-KEE-GUAC PLANNED DEVELOPMENT - The following communication dated August 15th, 1972, directed to the Mayor. Plan Commission and Common Council, from Raymond R. Wallner, Agent.for Jean Wallner and Harold DeBack, was read by the Recording Secretary: "Gentlemen: April 2, 1969, or 3 years 4 months prior to this letter. This was held in abeyance pending the completion of the industrial portion of Dr. Mangiamele's studies to days, but no action was taken to date. update the comprehensive plan. The decision of the Plan Commission was referred to the Common Council, the public hearing was held. The Common Council did not concur with the Plan Commission's recommendation and referred it back to the Plan Commission for further study. It was then the Plan Commission's decision to recommend denial of the petition. The Common Council then reaffirmed its decision to deny the petition.
