Robert Burgermeister, PRESENT: Mayor Jerome Gottfried, Chairman, Charles Buehler, Ald. Charles Foldy, Edward Raimann, Planning Consultant Joseph Mangiamele and Zoning Officer Gerald Lee.. MINUTES: The minutes of the previous meeting of November 17, 1970, were approved as mailed. PERSONAL APPEARANCES """"" ROBERT SCHAEFER - Mr. Schaefer, S79 W16291 Bay Lane Place, appeared regarding his request for architectural approval for a second, unattached garage structure. The Commission had deferred action on this request at the previous meeting to give them an opportunity to make an on-site inspection of the property in question as well as the surrounding area. Planning Consultant Mangiamele recommended that either the garage structure not be allowed as it will not add to the quality of the area inasmuch as the area is overcrowded; or that if the Commission does permit it to be built, it should be moved closer to the existing house on the property. ordinance to allow a second garage structure is applicable to lots which are larger than this particular parcel. He advised that Northland Developer's contract with the Schaefers has been terminated by the Schaefers pending a deferment for sewer assessment, after which time the Schaefers have indicated that they will again consider the sale of the property to Northland Developers. The petition also requested a rezoning of approximately 6 acres of property behind the Muskego Volunteer Fire Dept. sub-station from R-1 to R-1 with an OIP overlay to allow the petitioning for a conditional use grant to permit a school bus terminal. lends itself to such a use because of its central location in the city and its close proximity to the school district property to the north. Mayor Gottfried advised that a question has been raised as to procedure to grant variance in lot size requirements and the matter has been referred to the city attorney for legal opinion. It was the Commission's decision to defer action on this request until the attorney's opinion has been received. Mayor Gottfried declared recess at 8:41 P. M. and the meeting reconvened at 8:50 P. M.
