Charles Foldy, Edward Raimann, Planning Consultant Mangiamele and Zoning Officer Gerald Lee. MINVTES: The minutes of the previous meeting of October 20, 1970, were approved as mailed. GORDON DRAKE - Dr. Gordon Drake, president of American College, appeared requesting approval of a two acre division of Section 16 on which he desires to construct his home. It was the Commission‘s decision to allow snowmobiling at the country club and that activity at the club to be avoided after 1:OO A. M. standard time and 2:OO A. M. daylight savings time. Ald. Foldy moved that these conditions as proposed be accepted and included in the conditional use grant for submission to the Muskego Lakes Country Club for signature. Mr. Basse seconded the motion and the motion carried. DAVID CUNNINGHAM - Mr. Cunningham, representative of Northland Developers. Inc.. appeared to discuss an operational plan for the planned developmenti- Lakeland West, on 13 acres of the George Schaefer property in Section 8. It was noted by the Commission property from RS-2 to RSM with an OPD Overlay at their meeting that the Common Council had indicated their intent to rezone this October 27, 1970, predicated upon the execution of a satisfactory plans for the area including a commitment that no more than 36 agreement between the city and Northland Developers detailing the three bedroom, 36 two bedroom and 36 one bedroom units will be constructed. MARY PRESTON - At the previous meeting, the Commission had deferred action on Mrs. Preston's request for determination of legal status for eight lots in the Mill Valley Heights Unrecorded Subdivision pending additional information. Zoning Officer Lee advised that because of recent salsof several of the lots under consideration, to adjoining property owners, the request to be considered is for Lot 16 only. JDSEPH GAFFNEY - The Commission reviewed a request from Mr. Gaffney, S70 W Lot 21, Block 13, Muskego Shores Subdivision. It was noted by 17276 Muskego Drive, for legal status for the Commission that Mr. Gaffney owns Lots 20 and 22 in addition to Lot 21, that his existing dwelling is on Lot 20. Zoning Officer Lee reported that the area is sewered and three laterals have been installed, one for each lot. Ald. LEMBEZEDER COOK POST #8171 - The Commission reviewed a request for a 5' x 4'. illuminated sign advertising Blatz Beer Road on the V. P. W. property, S83 W20778 Janesville Road. to be erected next to the existing MillGr Beer sign on Janesville an additional sign or is to replace an existing sign, Ald. As there was a question as to whether or not this would be SAM JOVANOVICH - Mayor Gottfried advised the Commission that kr. Jovanovich, New Berlin, has expressed interest in purchasing the building near the corner of Hillendale Drive and Janesville Road which was formerly used by the Checkerway Mr. Jovanovich's intention to use this building for an automobile Bus Company for maintenance of school buses; that it would be repair shop and that according to an opinion from City Attorney Buckley, such a use would require a rezoning from the existing R-2 District. It was the Commission's decision to defer action on whether or not they would be favorable to such a rezoning until they could make an on-site ifispection of the building and the surrounding area. DAVID R. BEIERLE - Mayor Gottfried advised that petitions have been submitted by David Beierle for a conditional use grant to permit a school bus terminal on six acres of the Harold DeBack property behind the Muskego Volunteer Fire Department Sub-station on Racine Avenue in Section 29.
