industrial park sites for the city:
is the accessibility of employment within the community and the
balanced economic base that a reasonable amount of industry
provides. At the same time, industrial production is greatly
subject to change in methods, space needs and the type and number
of workers required. It is therefore quite difficult to determine
the land needs for industry over a period of 20 - 30 years.

more land reserve for industrial purposes than can be justified
on a minimal basis. This holds true whether the land is in private
hands or in public ownership. If the land is to be held for a
long time, public ownership seems to be the fair approach for such
land banks. At the same time public funds could be put to more

With these thoughts in mind, it is recommended that three
principal sites remain designated for industrial park development.
These sites are indicated as A, E and C on the presentation map.
It is further recommended that sites designated as 1 and 2 be
removed from the zoning category of industrial use as these areas

a figure of 600 to 800 acres of industrial land is attained.
Sites A, B and C have an acreage total well within that range.
Sites A and B shall be considered in a later report.
There is nothing to guarantee that in the future 600 to 800
acres will provide for 30,000 to 40,000 industrial workers nor that
putting that much land aside will in itself supply us with this much
industry. There is nothing to guarantee that a population of

a scope and a perspective for making future plans which will enable
us to make intelligent decisions today and in the immediate future,
in terms of high quality and overall plans for the development of
the City of Muskego. These guide lines make it possible for us

goals in the light of the new facts.
