Sec'y, Alvin Basse, Willard Bertram, Charles Buehler, and Mrs. PRESENT: Mayor Donald Wieselmann, Chairman, Ald. Frank Narlock, Gerald Lee and Plan Consultant Russell Knetzger were also present. Jean Sanders. Ed Raimann arrived at 9:lO P. M. Building Inspector MINUTES: Alderman Narlock moved to approve the minutes of the prevlous meeting of August 8, 1968, as mailed. Mr. Buehler seconded the motion and the motion carried. ALAN SCHOENLEBER - Mr. Schoenleber, realtor, appeared and submitted sketches for a 5 acre land division of the John Peters commission that Mr. Peters operated a polishing and welding property on Old Loomis Rd. in Sec. 25. It was noted by the business under Conditional Use Grant #36 on the remaining property, approximately 10 acres, that the area is zoned Agriculture and that August 9, 1966. a rezoning of this property to Industrial Park had been denied 5 acre parcel to people who desire to build a home within the next few years in which to retire. of this 5 acre parcel and that the Commission will be receptive to a preliminary plat and certified survey map. Alderman Narlock seconded the motion and the motion carried. After discussion, Alderman Narlock moved to recommend to the BROOKFIELD NATIONAL BANK - MUSKEG0 BRANCH - The Commission reviewed a request for a 4' x 8' sign advertising the proposed bank building-which will be constructed soon on the southeast corner of Lannon Dr. & Janesville Rd. sign, that the bank representatives would like to have the sign Country Fair Days. It was noted by the Commission that the fair erected by August 24th, if approved, to advertise during Muskego will be held on the future bank site. for one year. MOBIL SIGN - Mr. Basse advised the Commission that the sign advertising Mobil at Rindt's Mobil Station, S66 W14452 Janesville Rd., was rotating although the sign had been approved based on the condition that it would not have rotating mechanics. direct a letter to Mr. Rindt advising that the sign must be stationary. It was the Commission's decision that the Recording Secretary August 20, 1968 Page 4 - Plan Commission REZONING RE-EVALUATION STUDY - Mrs. Sanders questioned Planner Knetzger's suggestion that in the re-evaluation of the city's zoning possibly two new districts would be introduced such as an RS-4 and RS-5, pointing out that this might be premature as the capacity of the sewershs not been determined plan must be up-dated as the freeway has been relocated since as yet. Planner Knetzger pointed out that the comprehensive the last plan and that studies are indicating that in the met- ropolitan areas more land than necessary is being used per family, and that, although lot size may be reduced in certain areas, the residential development provided would be of a high quality. PLANNING CONFERENCE - The Recording Secretary read a communication directed to the Commissioners from Kirk Petshek. Professor, Urban Affairs and Extension, advising that planning conferences are being scheduled for Oct. 5th. Nov. 9th. Jan. 11th and Feb. 15th in Milwaukee.
