Frank Narlock, Sec'y, Alvin Basse, Willard Bertram, Charles Buehler, Ed Raimann and Jean Sanders. Building Inspector Lee and Plan Consultant Russell Knetzger were also present. MINWES: Mrs. Sanders moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting of July 16, 1968, as mailed. Ald. Narlock seconded the motion and the motion carried unanimously. FIRE DEFT. - SUB-STATION - The Commission.reviewed a more detailed site plan for the DrODOSed sub-station to be located on Racine Ave. as reqLested by the Commission at their meeting July 16, 1968. There was discussion of possible landscaping and Building Inspector Lee advised that the Fire Dept. had indicated that money for landscaping would be included in next year's budget. PIPE LINE CO. - The following report and recommendation dated July 30. 1968. from Plan Consultant Knetzger was reviewed by the Commission: - "Gentlemen: At your last meeting, July 16, 1968, permission was granted to the above pipeline company to install their proposed new 30 inch main through the City of Muskego so long as they stayed within the right-of-way used for previous main installations. Louisiana office of Ford, Bacon & Davis Construction Corp., who are engineering this project for the pipeline company. They explained that normally they would prefer to use their existing right-of-way for any new lines, however, in this case the gravel pit in Section 18 (State Sand & Gravel) has excavated so much material from the area adjacent to the present right-of-way easement, that it would be unsafe engineering practice to attempt to fit this proposed new main into that easement. Accordingly, and at extra expense to the pipeline company, they have been forced to negotiate for a new easement in the gravel Crowbar Road. Where Crowbar Road intersects the right-of-way, the operations area just north of STH 24, to bring the pipeline out to pipeline is then proposed to continue back on to the old right-of-way prepared specifically for your review under date of July 27, 1968, our office is prepared to recommend approval of the proposed new easement area in Section 18.
