PLANNER'S REPORTS
BEIERLELMILLARD - As regards this proposed 4 parcel land division of the
Lorrete Millard property in the & of Section 16 (11.26 acres total), Planner Knetzger
advised that he was planning to meet with the highway department to plan the blending
of the new Racine Ave., the old Racine Ave. and the proposed future parkway into
compatible intersections and that he would have a report within a few days.
ENERY MILLER - As regards this proposed 2 acre land division of the Emery Miller
property in Sec. 29 (R-1 District), Planner Knetzger advised that it was his recom-
mendation that this division be permitted as long as this second home is built as
close to the existing farm buildings as themning permits to preserve the "open
space" in this area which is proposed on the comprehensive plan. The planner advised
that a written report would be forthcoming within the next day or two.
PETITION TO VACATE ALIEY - As regards this petition requesting discontinuance
of an alley between Lots 9 and 10 in Point Denoon Subdivision, Planner Knetzger

driving conditions. The intersection with Muskego Dam Road has a present radius of
only 70 feet, which limits speeds to about 25 m.p.h. General impetus for increasing
the speed capacity of these two intersections probably comes from accidents which
occur from vehicles leaving the road because of excessive speed.
The General Plan for Muskego does not contemplate improvements to these
two intersections. This is because use of the two intersections is proposed to be
greatly diminished by the extension of Muskego Dam Road west to CTH "Y" between the
DeBack and Posbrig farms. Whereas, now there is a "tuning fork" movement pattern

If the accident problem on these two intersections is serious enough that
street lighting and better signing don't reduce the hazard, we would still rather
see an investment made in extending Muskego Dam Roadkough to "Y" than to flatten
the curve of these intersections.

Dear Comissioner Sands:
city Hall
Members of various planning cornmissions have expressed concern as to what
impact their activities have in both the short and long run on developments in
their city or village. You and your colleagues may, at times, wonder why the
results of your work are other than you had anticipated.

Another expressed concern is to whether planning conmissioners have been
changing circumstances. Thus, the question arises: What should the role of
the conmission be in relation to its constituents and the legislative body it 0 advises?
You can now discuss these matters, compare experiences, and explore the
