PCM19650216a Hinutes of the regular monthly meeting of the Planning Commission held on February ath, 1965, 8:OO P. It., with members Gottfried, Chase, Buehler, Bertram, Budish BWalrath present. Inspector Lee & Planner Knetzger were also present. ltinutes of the previous meeting were corrected as follows: Motion made by Mr. Walrath, seconded by Mr. Budish, that in the February ad minutes under Northland Developers Inc., line 3, reference to the 1551 shall be removed. hbtion carried. Minutes =re approved as corrected ami mailed. JOE SMIm - Sec. 13 & 14 - Mr. Smolen appeared in regard to division of land. Mr. Alfred Miller mas also present. Correspondence from Nelson &Associates regarding the John Smollen Land Divisions was read by the recording secretary. &. Miller requested that a time limit be placed on the completion of the road Mr. Smolen presented the road easements, same to be presented to the attorney. and same mas verbally agreed by Mr. Smolen. Discussion by the cormrdssion followed regarding land dedication by Nowalkmski. It ms agreed that a road bond would be established by the city engineers, said road bond to be either in the form of an escrow account or certified check being paid by Mr. Smolen and &. Miller. ALVIN BASSE - Sec. 13 - MY. Alvin Basse, Mr. Robert Gebhardt & Mr. George Uachovich mere present. Recommendations from Nelson &Associates, in regard to the commercial re-zoning of Basse land at Bay Lane & STH 2b, were read by Planner Knetzger. E-2 and E4 zoning uses were reviewed by Planer Knetzger. It was the opinion of the cormnission that B-2 zoning would be the most practical for this area. Mr. Machovich stated that he had definite plans for this area but did not care to divulge same at this time. After discussion, a motion was unde byMr. Chase, seconded by Mr. Luedtke and Radtke lands abutting the south side of State Highmay 2L, extending 1700 feet in frontage to E-2 zoning. b6.. Chase with the consent of his second, Mr. east of Bay Lane to ktin Drive which is approximately 800 feet in depth and about Buehler, FFithdrew the motion. It mas the opinion of the commission that they vould gab additional material as a result of a public hewing to be held by the cmn council in the near future. GAY RICKERT - Sec. lh - Mr. Gay Rickert appeared seeking procedure of land division located on private right of nay i. e. Feurstahler plat, Section a. Mr. Rickert mill have the area surveyed ad return to the commission lpah more infomation. MR. NOEL MARTIN & MX. DUANE WHITEHOUSE appeared to petition for a dog kennel. The kennels would be approximately 350’ E of Crowbar Road ad 250’ N of Field Dr., rezoning Hill be deferred until after the public hearing to be held by the city Section 7. It was generally agreed by the comnrission that this request for overby council and the planning commission in the near Future. MR. CIAFUNCE PATTON and his surveyor, Mr. Stamkaugh, appeared in regard to the the commission a certified survey map shomhg the correct location of Tenrgson correction of a road location in the Fountaimrood Addition #1. They presented to Lane as it abuts the Patton property. Mayor Gottfried indicated that he would check the rninutes of the former town board to determine *ether or not this cor- rection had previously been made. A motion was made by &. Chase, seconded bY Buehler, to recornend to the city council to rezone that portion of the Basse, Page 2 - Minutes of Planning Commission - February 16, 1965 hb. Walrath, that the certified survey map be referred to the city attorney for recommendation. Motion carried. YLZYNSKI'S PLOT - Sec. 9 - Walback Estates - Informal approval by the planning commission was given on the location of the proposed public street in the southern- most East - West Street of the Lazinski-Beck mership. A motion was made by Mr. Budish, seconded by Mr. Walrath, that the proposed North-South roadways of Sunny Slope, Moorland & Calhoun be given further study by the consulting planner and that he be authorized to prepare large scale naps shag their proposals. Motion carried. Motion to adjourn ppas made by I&. Budish, seconded by Mr. Walrath. Motion carried and meeting was adjourned at 12:OO o'clock. Recording Secretary
