FOR PELLES & JOHNSON ON DECEMBER 16, 1963, 0 P.M., WITH MEMBERS ALSO PRESENT WERE KNETZGER, BVDISH AND LEE. PURPOSE OF THE HEARING WAS TO CONSIDER WHETHER A COND. USE STATUS BE GRANTED TO PELLES AND JOHNSON FOR A NON-CONFORMING SIGN - JOSEPH SMALL FARM, S64413690 JANESVILLE RD., MUSKEGO 1, WIS. THE HEARING NOTICE AND PETITION WAS READ BY CLERK. SAID SIGN TO BE ATTACHED TO BARN FACIA ON THE PROPERTY OF THE ACCORDING TO MR. JOHNSON, PROPOSED SIGN WILL MEASURE 12’ X 27’, FLUORESCENT TUBING TO BE LITE ABOUT 4 HOURS DAILY GOING OUT ABOUT 71-30 P.M. MR. JOHNSON WAS REMINDED THAT THE SIGN WOULD EXCEED THE MAXIKUK SIZE REQUIREMENT BY 24 SQ. FT. MR. JOHNSON ANSWERED THE SIGN IS BOTH AN ADVERTISING AND DIRECTIONAL FOR LARRY’S THAT HE WOULD AGREE TO REDUCE THE SIZE THUS ADHERING TO SAME. ‘ -- STEAK HOUSE, HALES CORNERS. SEVERAL BOARD MEMBERS FELT THAT THE SIZE, ILLUMINATION, ETC., COULD BE CONTROLLED BY BOARD WHILE ONE MEMBER WAS VERY MUCH AGAINST PROPOSED SIGN DUE TO LOCATION OF RESIDENTIAL HOMES. NO ONE APPEARED IN OBJECTION TO REQUESTED USE. HEARING VAS DECLARED ADJOURNED AT 0:25 P.M. I RES~CTFULLY SUBMITTED, MINUTES OF THE REGULAR KONTHLY MEETING OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MACHKOVICH, LANGE AND BOSTATER PRESENT AND IN ADDITION KNETZGER, BUDISH AND LEE. PRIOR TO DISPOSITION OF BOARD BUSINESS AN INFORMAL MEETING WAS CALLED WITH SCHOOL BOARD KEMBERS ~URDY, PEKARSKE, GUHR AND FOGEL AND MR. KREUSER, SUPERINTENDENT. THE TWO BOARDS INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL. THE SCHOOL BOARD REVIEWED PRESENT AS WELL HELD ON DECEMBER 16, 1963, WITH MENBERS GOTTFRIED, GUHR, CHASE, 0 MET FOR REASONS OF DISCUSSING THE PROPOSED SITE FOR THE PLANNED AS PROJECTED ENROLLMENT PLUS THE FOUR PROPOSED SCHOOL SITES WHICH WILL BE PRESENTED TO THE ELECTORS AT THE JAN. 8TH MEETING. (. THE BOARD EXTENDED AN INVITATION TO PLANN. COMK. MEMBERS TO THE NIGHT ARISE AS TO ZONING, ETC., AND ALSO SUGGESTED THAT BOTH JAN. 8TH MEETING FOR PURPOSES OF ANSWERING ANY QUESTIONS WHICH BOARDS MEET, POSSIBLY EVERY 3 MONTES, TO DISCUSS CURRENT PROBLEMS. MR. LUCKOW OF VALLEY SAND & GRAVEL APPEARED AND FOLLOWING DIS- NECESSARY CORRECTIONS IN PLAN AND RETURN TO THE BOARD IN JAN., REQUIRED AKOUNT OF BOND BEING SET BY TOWN BOARD. THE LETTER MR. LUCKOW THAT THEY BRING TOPO MAP UP-TO-DATE IN ACCORDANCE CUSSION REGARDING RESTORATION PLAN WAS DIRECTED BY BOARD TO MAKE RECEIVED FROM THE ENGINEER WAS READ AND THE BOARD SUGGESTED TO WITH SAME. THE COND. USE GRANT REQUEST FOR ONE PELLES & JOHNSON WAS DIS- CUSSED AND WAS DISPOSED OF AS FOLLOWS: MR. MACHKOVICH KOVED THAT THE BOARD DENY THE REQUEST OF PELLES & JOHNSON TO ERECT AN ILLUMINATED SIGN ON A BARN FACIA ON THE JOSEPH SMALL PROPERTY, MOTION SECONDED BY MR. GOTTFRIED. DISCUSSION FOLLOWED SUCH AS ETC. CHAIRMAN REQUESTED POLL OF BOARD RESULTING IN THE FOLLOW- APPLYING CONDITIONS OF CONTROL AS TO SIZE, ILLUMINATION TIME, ING - 3 IN FAVOR OF DENYING GRANT AND 2 AGAINST - REQUEST DENIED. MR. ELMER PENDT APPEARED REQUESTING THAT THE BOARD CONSIDER RE- ZONING 1.77 ACRES ADJACENT TO HWAY 36. SEVERAL YE RS AGO, ACCORDING TO MR. WENDT, THIS PARCEL WAS REZONED L. BUSINESS ZONING ORDINANCE. MR. PENDT STATED THAT HE EXPECTED THE STATE TO USE A PORTION OF THIS PARCEL FOR RELOCATION OF 36 AND IF IT WERE ZONED L. BUSINESS HE WOULD BE ABLE TO PLACE A LARGER YALUE ON HIS LAND. THE BOARD MADE IT CLEAR THAT THEY WOULD NOT REZONE AND FELT THAT THE .BOARD SHOULD HAVE CONSIDERED THIS IN THE NEW LAND AT ANYTIME FOR THIS REASON, BUT WOULD TAKE THE MATTER OF REZONING UNDER ADVISEMENT. CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED FROM THE ATTORNEY REGARDING THE DIVISION OFLAND BY MRS. TESS WAS READ WITH BOARD DIRECTING THE CLERK TO ADVISE MRS. TESS ACCORDINGLY.
