MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION Is REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING HEL ON SEPT. 23, 1963, 7 P.M. , WITH MEMBERS GOTTFRIED, LANGE, BOSTAT GUHR PRESENT. ALSO PRESENT WERE MESSRA. BUDISH, PLANNER NELSON AND INSP. LEE. THE BOARD DISCUSSED ADVISABILITY OF ADOPTING AN AGENDA FOR THEIR AND EFFICIENTLY. THE AGENDA WILL BE DRAWN ON WEDNESDAY PREVIOUS TO BER ON THURSDAY. REGARDING CALLING SPECIAL MEETINGS IT WAS AGREED MONTHLY MEETINGS SO THAT BUSINESS COULD BE EXPEDITED MORE QUICKLY THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING BEING PLACED IN THE MAIL TO EACH MEM- THAT IN ORDER TO MORE CLEARLY DEFINZ NEED FOR CALLING SPECIAL MEET- INGS IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT EACH NEED BE CLEARED THROUGH THE RECORD- ING SECRETARY WHO WILL IN TURN CONTACT THE CHAIRMAN IF IT rs DEEMED THERE IS A DIRE NEED. e THE CITY OF NEW BERLIN'S DEVELOPMENT PLAN WAS DISCUSSED IN PART AND BY NEW BERLIN AT THE NE CORNER OF MUSKEGO ALONG C ,LEGE & JANESVILLE RD. MR. KNETZER STATED THAT HE HAD TALKED TO MR. fik ILLER OF THE 6'0. PLANNING OFFICE AND WAS TOLD THAT THEIR COMMISSION HAD ACCEPTED MUSKEGO'S PROPOSED NS BY-PASS. CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED FROM NEW BERLIN'S MAYOR RATHKE WAS READ WITH THE BOARD DECIDING THAT A JOINT MEETING BETWEEN a. BERLIN, MUSKEGO AND THE Go. PLANNER BE CALLED IN CONTACT MR. MCMILLER TO ARRANGE SAME. IT WAS AGREED THAT THE TOWN REQUEST THAT A BUFFER ZONE BE PROVIDED THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE RESULTING IN THE CHAIRMAN'S SUGGESTION THAT HE MAY IT BE NOTED THAT THE BOARD, DURING A SPECIAL SESSION, ON SEPT. 19, 1963 CONDUCTED THE FOLLOWING SPECIAL BUSINESS - MR. GUHR MOVED, THADDEUS O'GRADY FOR A D~ISION OF 0.610 ACRES IN PT OF THE NW$ - SEC. 16 BE ACCEPTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SUBMITTED CERTIFIED SURVEY MAPS. MOTION CARRIED, OCTOBER B, 1963, a P.M. , SHALL BE RESERVED TO DISCUSS THE PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE. CONSIDERATION SHALL THEN BE GIVEN TO THOSE OBJECT- THAT TIME. AN OPINION SHALL BE GAINED AS TO WHETHER OR NOT ADDITIONAL AS SECONDED BY MR. BOSTATER THAT THE PRELIMINARY AND FINAL PLAT OF IONS RAISED AT THE PUBLIC HEARING AND RECOMMENDED CHANGES SINCE -* HEARINGS WOULD BE REQUIRED IF THE TEXT AND MAP WERE CHANGED BEYOND THAT WHICH WAS SUBMITTED TO THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR APPROVAL. AFTER SOME DISCUSSION MR. BUEHLER MOVED, AS SECONDED BY MR. GUHR, THAT MR. PAUL MEIER BE GRANTED PERMISSION TO BUILD A 14' x 22' MOTION CARRIED. ~IR. CORNELIUS KATZFEY REQUESTED PERMISSION TO DIVIDE 1.5 ACRES OF LAND IN SEC. 12, TESS CORNERS DR., IN ACCORDANCE WITH SUBMITTED PLAT. MR. BOSTATER MOVED, AS SECONDED BY MR. BUEHLER, THAT APPROVAL BE GRANTED C. KATZFEY TO DIVIDE LAND IN ACCORDANCE WITH SUBMITTED GARAGE ON A RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED ON PT OF THE #w& - SEC. 15. PLAN FOR 15 ACRE TRACT ON PT OF THE NE: - SEC. 12 - SAID CERTIFIED SURVEY MAPS TO BE WAIVED AS PROVIDED IN SEC. IV-B-3B. MOTION CARRIED. MR. CHARLES HUDSON REQUESTED PERMISSION TO DIVIDE 0.83 ACRES OF LAND IN SEC. IO, WESTWOOD DR. AFTER REVIEWING REQUIRED DISTRICT ACREAGE, ZONING CLASSIFICATION FOR PROPOSED BUSINESS, MR. BUEHLER MOVED, AS SECONDED BY MR. GUHR, PERMISSION BE GRANTED MR. CHARLES HUDSON TO DIVIDE 0.03 ACRES OF LAND IN THE SE+ - SEC. 10, IN ACCORDANCE WITH SUBMITTED CERTIFIED SURVEY MAPS. MOTION PASSED. MR. LARRY GREIVELDINGER OF HALES CORNERS REQUESTED PERMISSION TO SEC. 1 - JANESVILLE RD., SAID SIGN BEING AN NON-ACCESSORY SIGN. THE CHAIRMAN ANSWERED THAT THERE WOULD BE NO WAY IN WHICH THE INSTALL AN ILLUMINATED 11 ' X 26' SIGN ON A BARN-SIDE IN THE NE: - BOARD COULD GRANT SUCH A REQUEST UNDER THE PRESENT ORDINANCE SUGGEST- ING THAT SAID APPELANT WAIT UNTIL THE NEW ORDINANCE IS ADOPTED AND THEN PERHAPS COULD BE GOVERNED BY COND.
