MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON AUGUST 26, 1963,
8:00 P.M., WITH MEMBERS GOTTFRIED, BOSTATER, GUHR AND MACHKOVICH
PRESENT. MESSRS. LEE AND NELSON WERE ALSO PRESENT.
MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING WERE READ AND APPROVED.
MR. JOHN SMOLEN APPEARED REQUESTING PERMISSION OF THE BOARD TO FILL
HE WILL USE ABOUT 30-40 YARDS OF FILL AN~ILL NOT AFFECT ANY SURROUND-
ING RESIDENTS, ACCORDING TO MR. SMOLEN. IT WAS THE OPINION OF THE
GRANTED. PLANS OF PROPOSED TAVERN-DWELLING WERE PRESENTED - REASON
BEING - SOME CHANGES WERE MADE IN ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AND APPROVAL
WAS RANTED AS SUBMITTED.
MR. LOCI AND MR. JOHN COUTURE SUBMITTED A PLAT OF THE FOUNT. RECREAT-
ION AREA IN BEHALF OF CONSOLIDATED INVESTMENT LIMITED. MR. COUTURE
PROCEDURE TO PROTECT SAID OPERATION so AS TO CONFORM. MR. NELSON'S
SWAIL, AREA BEING ABOUT 75 X 10 WITH WATER SHED DIRECTED TOWARD LAKE.

STATEMENT AND IN ANSWER DROSEN STATED THAT PERHAPS TWO CARS DID NOT
THIS ADDITION BEING MADE TO #4 - VRECKED AUTOS AND OTHER PARTS SHALL
BE STORED IN ORDERLY ROWS WITH AT LEAST 1.5' BETWEEN ROWS NOT TO EX-
CEED 6' IN HEIGHT IN JUNKED MATERIAL. A MR. JOHN VERTZ SUBMITTED
PETITION TO COMMISSION AGAINST SAID OPERATION. MR. MACHKOVICX

DALE DAWSON OF GRAVEL INC., APPEARED. BD. DISCUSSED PRESENT PLAN
OF OPERATION VERSUS PROPOSED RESTORATION PLAN AND REQUIRED BOND. MR. DAWSON WAS REMINDED THAT BOND SHOULD BE OBTAINED IMMEDIATELY
AND DIRECTED THAT HE CLEAN UP AREA SUCH AS LEVELING OFF STOCK
PILES ADJACENT TO RESIDENTIAL AREA RESULTING IN CHAIRMAN GOTTFRIED
VOLUNTEERING TO VISIT AREA IN AN EFFORT TO SUGGEST POSSIBLE PLAN.
MR. ROBERT BIERBOWER REQUESTED PROCEDURE TO PERMIT OPER,ATION OF
RIDING ACADEMY ON HIS 48-ACRE TRACT, SEC. 19. BD. REVIEWED PROCED-
URE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SEC. 3-06 (5).
JOSEPH MAGARICH SOUGHT OPINION OF ED. AS TO PROPER PROCEDURE IN PRO-
CURING RENEWAL OF QUARRY PERMIT, SAID PERMIT EXPIRING IN OCT-~~. RESTORATION PLAN, MAP, ETC., WERE REVIEWED BY BD. APPLICANT STATED
MONTHS - 1 YEAR DEPENDING UPON MARKET DEMAND. HE THOUG.HT IT UNFAIR
OPERATION IS NEAR COMPLETION. IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT PERHAPS THE BD.
THAT RESTORATION WAS NEAR COMPLETION AND WOULD BE COMPLETED FROM 2
OF BOARD TO REQUIRE FULL PLAN OF RESTORATION, MAPS, ETC., AS
COULD ASK THAT THE ENGINEER OR BUILDING INSP. CERTIFY TXAT PART OF
RESTORATION WHICH HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND THAT WHICH REMAINS UNDONE. e THE BOARD FELT THAT SINCE THIS PROBLEM MAY BE MERELY ONE OF PRO-
CEDURE THAT A LEGAL OPINION SHOULD BE GAINED. MR. MACHKOVICH MOVED,

PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDES FOR A GEN'L. INDUSTRXAL ZONING
AS SECONDED BY BOSTATER, THAT ACTION CONCERNING THE REQIJEST OF
POSTPONED FOR 60 DAYS PENDING LEGAL OPINION GAINED FROM ATTORNEY
FOR THIS AREA.
REQUEST RECEIVED FROM CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DIST. OFFICE FOR INSTALLAT-
ION OF A SIGN WAS READ BY CHAIRMAN. THE CHAIRMAN WILL ATTEMPT TO
RESOLVE SAID APPLICATION.
PRELIMINARY PLAT OF VALBECK ESTATES WAS REVIEWED BY BOARD. IT WAS
SUGGESTED AND APPROVED BY BOARD THAT THE TOWN BOARD, PLANNER,ENGINEER
AND DEVELOPERS MEET JOINTLY CONCERNING SAME TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION
POSSIBLE FUTURE MUNICIPAL SITE, ETC.

CHECKERWAY CHARTER COACH LINES WERE READ. FOLLOWING DISCUSSION MR.
