Town Board and Plan Commission
Town of Muskego, Wisconsin
Re: Study of Zoning Maps
Gentlemen:
At the next special meeting of the Plan Commission the subject for the evening
will be the study of the two zoning maps prepared in conjunction with the pro-
posed Zoning Ordinance which the Commission has just finished studying. Since
the Zoning Maps simply reflect the boundaries of the pattern of proposed land
uses shown in the Town's Comprehensive Plan report, it would be wise for the
members of the Commission and Board to re-read that report.
While the General Plan report contains the presentation of the various parts
of the total plan, the preceding report entitled "Economic and Ecologic Base 6 Study" represents the foundation upon which the Plan report was prepared. Since
the adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Map are the final steps in the planning
program that has been going on in Muskego for two and one half years, and will
require public hearing for adoption, it would be desirable for members of the
Board and Commission to review the Economic and Ecologic Base report and the
Management and long range Capital Improvement report in order to familiarize
themselves with the entire planning program.
If the Board and Commission can review the three reports just mentioned before
the meeting, the discussion on the Zoning maps will undoubtedly be greatly
facilitated. New members of the Commission are especially urged to bring
themselves up to date by reading these reports.
Sincerely,
