THE FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS WAS THE READING OF THE MINUTES OF
THE ?1ARCH 27, 1961 MEETING AND THEY WERE APPROTED AS READ.
THE CHAIRMAN MADE PUBLIC THAT MR. E. VHITEHOUSE AND €f~. J. GIESEGH
TAINING TO THE HILLVIEW SAND AND GRAVEL PETITION.
HAD REQUESTED THAT THEIR NAMES ilE WITHDRAWN FROM ALL MATTERS PER-
THE CHAIRMAN REQUESTED THAT THE BOARD CONSIDER, AND IF POSSIBLE,
CONTEMPLATE DECISION ON THAT PETITION OF HILLVIEW SAND AND GRAVEL

ONLY QUESTION RAISED BY THE BOARD WAS THAT OF WHETHER OR NOT
THE REPORT WAS A FACTUAL ONE SINCE THE FIGURES OF TAX CONTRIBUT-
ION WAS QUESTIONED BY THE FLOOR. ANSWER - YES, TO THE BEST OF
THEIR KNOWLEDGE, FIGURES HAD BEEN COMPILED ay HIS ASSOCIATES
AND OBTAINED FROM TOWN RECORDS, BUT IT COULD BE POSSIBLE THAT
AN ERROR HAD BEEN MADE.
AN AMENDED PETITION, SUBMITTED IN BEHALF OF HILLVIEW SAND AND
GRAVEL Co. INC., AND RROSPECT HILLS DEVELOPMENT, INC., WAS THEN
READ SUBSTANCE OF WHICH WAS: THAT A COND. USE STATUS BE GRANTED
FOR 65 ACRES ON THAT PART OF THE NS OF SECTION 6 FOR THE PURPOSE
OF OPERATING A GRAYEL PIT AND ALSO THAT THE 65 ACRES ON THAT
PART OF THE NS OF SECTION 6 BE REZONED FROM RESIDENTIAL TO
AGRICULTURAL FOR THE PURPOSE OF GRANTING A COND. USE STATUS.
COPY OF SAME AND CONDITIONS SHALL BE MADE A PART OF THE RECORDS.

THE MEMORANDUM REPORT REGARDING THE PETITION OF ALFRED & LYDIA WAUER FOR A QUARRYING PERMIT TO OPERATE A GRAVEL PIT IN SECTION
10 WAS THEN READ BY MR. UELSON, COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO. REFERENCE WAS MADE IN THE REPORT REGARDING SUBMITTAL OF A LETTER
ITS EFFECT ON THEIR PLANS OF CREATING AN INDUSTRIAL PARK. FOLLOWING A REQUEST OF THE BOARD THE LETTER RECEIVED FROM CLEMTINE
AND JOHN KNUTOWSKI, RALPH I. JENSEN AND CHAS. S. RADDATZ WAS READ.
BY OWNERS OF PROPERTY LOCATED WEST OF THE PROPOSED PIT DUE TO
1fR. BUDISH REQUESTED MR. JENSEN TO PINPOINT THIS PROPOSED INDUSTRIAL
DEVELOPMENT ON THE MAP AND ALSO EXPLAIN THEIR ULTIMATE PLANS. MR. JENSEN WAS UNABLE TO DO SO.
Ph. MACHKOVICH THEN MOVED THAT RECOMMENDATION BE MADE TO THE TOWN BOARD THAT A COND. USE STATUS BE ISSUED TO ALFRED & LYDIA VAUER
FOR QUARRYING OPERATION ON THAT PART OF THE NE+ AND NW$ OF SECTION
18. MR. BOSTATER SECONDED THE MOTION AND MOTION UNANIMOUSLY PASSED*
THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR A VOTE FROM THE TOWN BOARD AND IT WAS MR. WOLF WHO ASKED FOR MORE TIME FOR CONSIDERATION REGARDING MR. VAUER ’S
REQUEST. THE BOARD WAS REQUESTED TO MAKE A DECISION BY SAT., APRIL 29, 1961 AND AFTER SOME DISCUSSION IT WAS DECIDED THAT THE
MATTER WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF BY THAT DATE, IF NOT BEFORE.
MR. BUDISH MADE A MOTION, AS SECONDED BY MR. MACHKOVICH, THAT
RECOMMENDATION BE FORWARDED TO THE TOWN BOARD THAT A JT. PUBLIC
MR. H. HOLTZ CONCERNING PART OF SEC. 9 FROM AGRICULTURAL TO RES. A-3. MOTION CARRIED.
MR. NELSON OFFERED TO DRAW UP AND PRESENT AT THE NEXT MEETING
HEARING BE HELD ON MAY 22, 1961 TO CONSIDER THAT PETITION OF
SEVERAL PROCEDURES FOR THE BOARD TO FOLLOW REGARDING HEARINGS, ETC.
JRS. SHABLOW REMINDED THE BOARD OF THE CIVIL SUIT BETWEEN THEY AND GRAVEL INC. IT WAS STATED THAT THEIR HOHE HAD COMPLETELY DETEIORATED
ON THE NORTH SIDE DUE TO THE EXISTING OPERATION. MRS. SHABLOW AND
MRS. RUUSKA ASKED THE TOWN B OARD TO CHECK INTO THE RUMOR THAT
GRAVEL INC., WAS HAULING IN MATERIALS INTO THE PIT WHICH
WAS, IN TURN, BEING USED IN THE MAKING OF THEIR ASPHALT MIX.
THE LAST ORDER OF BUSINESS WAS THE REQUEST OF T. ROSECKY IN BEHALF
OF ST. LEONARD’S CHURCH FOR PERMISSION TO ERECT 1 TEMPORARY SIGN
AND 1 DIRECTIONAL SIGN. THE CLERK IS TO NOTIFY MR. ROSECKY THAT
SKETCH AND LOCATION OF SIGN SHOULD BE PRESENTED. (CHECK MINUTES
OF FEB. 60 REGARDING OMMISSION OF INSTSTUTIONAL SIGN SECTION) e MR. C. KRAMER PRESENTED A REQUEST FOR COND. USE STATUS FOR 31 ACRES
