COOK ARTHUR Ha KOLM SECRETARY LESUE 80REN80N December 16, 1957 Regular meeting of the Plarning & Zoning Commission called to order at 8:10 P.M. December 16, 1957 by Chairman Mr. Gottfried. Members present were Bohrer, Cook, Kolm and Sorenson. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved with the ex- ception that copies of St. Leonardrs description was not attached send the copy to the Secretary of this Board. to the minutes and Mr. Gottfried said he mould have Mrs. Williams Minutes of the hearing held at the Town Hall on November 22, 1957, regarding zoning changes were read and discussed. A motionmde by Mr. Cook, seconded by A. Kolm, that the changes as asked for in the minutes be held over for further study. Ye. Paul Schmelter, 3008 S. 29th St., Milwaukee 15, Wis., represent- ing Mr. M. Vesbach, as to the change of use of the zoning of the building on Highway Y formerly known as a used car lot and general Maurice present so he could describe the type of business he would auto repair. The Board asked Mr. Vesbach to have Mr. George plan to put in this location. Mrs. Maurice appeared and stated that they planned to move the present equipment they now have and not add any new equipment for the present. The rear would be used for the shop and the front would be rented out or they would use present location and is cramped. These people were told that they that portion for their own use. He now has 16 machines in his would be notified as to the discussion that the Board arrived at. Mr. Steve Bogadi, 7727 W. Grant, West Allis 19, Wis., appeared in regards to land in Section 12 on the Woods Rd., now zoned A-2. Mr. Bogadi asked as to what was required 5n setting-up a new sub- division. Mr. Gottfried gave Mr. Bogadi a copy of requirements that would have to be met. The Board discussed and reviewed the request of Mr. Ryan, represent.. ing Alvin Stuedena, as to changing 24.91 acres in Section 3 from Awl to A-3. Mr. Cook made a motion that this request be denied and Mr. Sorenson seconded We motion. All members voted for the motion. The request of Mrs. John Knutowski asking to change 35 acresfi Section 18 from Agricultural Zoning to Residential A-1 was dis- cussed. Mr. Cook made a motion that this request be denied, reason being that this area had been set aside for Industrial Zoning of the industrial action. Motion was seconded by Les Sorenson. and any action on this area is now held up pending the disposition ~11 members voted in favor of this motion. Page - 2 - Mr. Bolvrer abstained from voting. A-2, as requested by Mr. Burl Gose who represents Mr. Bosch, was Nr. Boschls request to rezone 32 acres in Section 32 from A-1 to discussed. The Board came to the following conclusion, after checking back on the minutes of a special hearing, dated 10-3-55, on this area at that time. Mr. Cook moved that this request be denied and that the area remain as now defined. The reason being, as formerly stated, poor drainage and the surrounding area is Zoned A-1. Motion seconded by Walter Bohrer. All members voted in favor of the motion. Mr. Arthur Bostaterts request for rezoning a portion of Section 32 on Lake DeNoon from-A-1 to Local Business and a portion across from the lake area in Agricultural to Local Business was discussed, After a thorough discussion it was decided by the Board to hold off action on this area until the Board looked at this property by Mr. Cook that Mr. Bostaterfs request be denied because the and Mr. Bostater was told of this decision. A motion was made area is not suitable for this-type of Zoning at this time. Motion seconded by Mr. Bohrer. All members voted for the motion. Meeting was adjourned at 10:45 P. M.
