SPECIAL MEETING
Meeting called to order January 23, 1956 at 8:oo P. M.
Members present were Cook, Czarnecki, Kolm and Sorenson.
14inutes of the regular meeting of January 16th were read and approved.
Mr. 1Jm. Nelson had been asked to this meeting to help clarify various
phases on proceedure etc. pertaining to zoning, a particular case
was that of the petition of Mr. R. Pfilam for use of Lake DeNoon for
a boat livery. Whereupon Elr. Nelson made reference to Page 17 of zoning ordinance paragraph 11111 whereby it vas clarified that it did
not come under business rezoning but under use provision. After a
discussion was had Mr. Cook made a motion, seconded by Mr. Sorenson
notify him of our findings, which are that Mr. I4ilam has the right
that the Chairman instruct the Secretary to write to PJr. Milam and
be submitted to the Planning Commission for approval, however the
to petition for a public hearing and after such hearing same will
Commission feels that they could not recommend such use, all members
present voteti for the motion.
The petition for zoning change on the plotting study for:
665' thence north 2400' thence vest 665' to place of beginning,
of Section 10 starting from the east line, south 2400'- then east
with the exception of that which is already zoned Local Business.
Classification of Agricultural to be rezoned to Residence A-2
District. That the reasons for this petition are: To further
development of a subdivision already in existance;
Kartin C. Ludwig was again brought to the floor for discussion and
on a motion br It:??. Kolm, seconded by Mr. Cook that the Plotting Study
be approved as shown with the stipulasion that lots 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 be acted on after a perculation test for same
as required by the County Ordinance as of October 15, 1955 is sub-
mitted to this Commission, and if same are satigfactory these lots
brill then be approved for rezoning to A-2. Plotion carried, all members
present voted for the motion.
The Industrial Ordinance was brosght up for discussion and the cases
where Plants have beeib in operation before this Ordinance vas mitten. Mr. Idelson suggested that on such Plants a special use be allowed
Commission or that this Board meet vith the Tom Board and re-draft
subject to approval and regulation as set forth by the Planning
and modify non-conforming use Ordinance if the intent of the
Ordinance to restrict new buildings and new operations be k ept
intact.
A motion to adjourn vas made by Mr. Sorenson. seconded bv i.ir. Cook
