CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Mooney at 6:00PM.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
ROLL CALL
Roll call was taken with Commissioners Mooney, Whittow, Kuspa and Jaske present.
Commissioner Glazier was absent. Chief Rens was also in attendance.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA ITEMS
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes from October 17, 2019.
Commissioner Kuspa made a motion to approve the minutes from the above meeting.
Commissioner Whittow seconded. All in favor.
PUBLIC APPEARANCE
REPORT FROM POLICE DEPARTMENT
Chief Rens advised that K9 Officer Slamka and Obi have been on the road and doing well.
They are on early shift, 2PM-10PM and K9 Officer Diedrich and Sirius are on late shift, 10PM-
6AM.
Chief advised that our dispatch staff is at full staff, with the newest Dispatcher Kelly Geibel
starting on December 16, 2019. Geibel has previous experience and is doing well.
Chief Rens advised the department is starting a new list for officers, with applications being
accepted through March 2, 2020.
Our department SCIT members took part in an area wide search warrant lead by the FBI on
Tuesday and all went smooth. Several subjects being taken into custody without incident.
Our department had our own SCIT call late in December on Acker Drive, with the subject also
being taken into custody without incident.
Members of our department who are on the Civil Disturbance Unit will be deployed for the
Democratic National Convention, as well as our department will be used for mutual aid if need
be.

NEW BUSINESS
Cadet Introduction - The cadets from our department came in and introduced themselves to
the police and fire commissioners. The cadets explained some of the competitions they have
been involved in recently and how well they did. The next competition is the state competition
coming up in the next few weeks.
