MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 10, 1978
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg at 8.00 P.M. Also present were Committee Members Dumke, Tomczyk and Mayor Gottfried.
l The committee reviewed a request for release of cash bond for swimming area in Kristin Downs Subdivision. It was the committee's decision
to defer action on the request until the next meeting of the Public Works Committee.
Ald. Dumke moved to release funds for work completed in Guernsey
Meadows Addition #1 Subdivision in the amount of $50,418.45 for
sewers and $27,764.28 for installation of water mains. Seconded by
Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried.
The updated construction cost estimate provided by the city's con-
sulting engineers for the proposed detention pond located north of
S.T.H. 24, west of Tess Corners Drive, is $146,000.00. Also, the
updated construction cost estimate for drainage ditch with 4' wide concrete invert is $116,000.00.
Ald. Ford's request for a guard rail on Muskego Drive, near Hiawatha,
was reviewed. All members of the committee have reviewed the alleged

problem and could see no need to warrant the expenditure.
The committee authorized the purchase of a water softener for water
in the industrial park from Culligan Soft Water Service in the amount
of approximately $2,600.00.
The minutes of the previous meeting and the report of the Public Works
tour were reviewed and placed on file.
The committee authorized the release of the $5,000.00 bond to Mr.
Frank Narlock, developer of Lakeview Hills Subdivision, inasmuch as the problem on Prospect Drive has been solved to the satisfaction of
the Supt. of Public Works.
The committee reviewed a communication from Ruekert & Mielke regarding
the well in the proposed Marlan Meadows Subdivision.
The committee directed Mayor Gottfried to invite residents affected
by the drainage plan proposed for the Marlan Meadows Subdivision to the next meeting of the committee.
Mr. Ralph Martin will also be invited to the next meeting to discuss the proposed relocation of Martin Drive.
There being no further business, Ald. Tomczyk moved for adjournment. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8150 P.M.
