Public Works Committee - MINUTES - 5/22/1978PUBLIC WORKS COMlIITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 22, 1978 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg at 8:43 P.M. Also present were Committee Members Tomczyk and Dumke, Supt. Bertram, Ald. Van Lanen and those listed on the attached sheet. Mr. Lloyd Tess, S69 W16609 Martin Drive, appeared at the meeting to discuss with the committee a drainage problem on his property and adjacent properties. Supt. Bertram explained to the committee and Mr. Tess what the future plans for Martin Drive were and what alternatives are available as a result of the problem. Mr. Roger Johnson appeared to discuss the preliminary plat of Marlan Meadows along with road and drainage plans. He presented the committee with a plan for the entrance to the subdivision off of Martin Drive which showed two 24' driving lanes with an 18' boulevard. He also provided plans showing how a 29' driving lane would taper into East Drive which is approximately 24'. The committee agreed with the road construction plans, as presented. Mr. Johnson also reviewed with the committee the storm drainage plans for the area. He indicated they intended to build the detention pond immediately and to use concrete inverts to assure total drainage of the detention pond area. The committee reviewed with Mr. Johnson the drainage plans prepared by Ruekert & Mielke. Mr. Johnson indicated that he had reviewed his plans with them. The committee noted that Ald. Ford requested that prior to any approval an informal meeting with the downsti.eam grqerty owners lx held. The comxittee also revieRed uith Mr. Johnson the need for scme form of turnaround at the end cf Elm Drive. Mr. Johnson agreed to provide the city with whatever Supt. Bertram feels is necessary. Mr. Dave Taube, President of the Little Muskego Lake Association, appeared to discuss with Supt. Bertram and the committee the city's plans for harvesting the weeds in the lake Supt. Bertram advised Mr. Taube that the conveyor has been set near the Idle Isle area and that the two harvesters would besh shortly. 0 The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file. There being no further business, Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 10 15 P.M. Respectfully submitted,
