MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 7, 1977
The meeting was called to order at 8:33 P.M. by Chairman Schaumberg.
Also present were Committee Member Constantineau, Mayor Gottfried and supt. Bertram.
a The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
Mayor Gottfried advised the committee that the city's consulting firm
of Ruekert & Mielke is still reviewing the designated detention pond located in Outlot #3 of Hale Park Meadows Planned Unit Development.
He indicated that a final report should be received by the next
committee meeting.
Mayor Gottfried advised the committee that the insurance agency
for the Del Sievert Trucking Company will submit a copy of their
insurance to determine whether or not it provides adequate coverage
in the event of road damage. It was the committee's decision that if adequate coverage is not provided all hauling of topsoil shall
cease until such a time that the proper surety bond has been submitted.
The committee agreed that the condemnation proceedings regarding the Hetzel property for storm water drainage facilities should
continue.
0 supt. Bertram advised the committee that the storm sewer draining
Lochcrest Blvd. has been installed as well as the berm at the end of Shore Lane.
The committee reviewed with Supt. Bertram the proposed urban cross
sections for future street construction. It was agreed that the
specifications would include 8 inches of 314" crushed gravel as well as 56" asphalt. The asphalt will be placed through a three- stage construction program. Mayor Gottfried was directed to have
Ruekert & Mielke design the new cross section and also to specify
the type of concrete which must be used in the construction of curbs
and gutters.
Upon the recommendation of Supt. Bertram, Ald. Constantineau moved
to authorize the Public Works Department to install storm sewers along the northwest side of Hardtke Drive from Ranch Drive to the channel. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Supt. Bertram was directed to provide the committee with the estimated cost of cleaning one of the major channels to Bass Bay.
Ald. Constantineau moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:37 P.M.
