MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 5, 1977
/ The meeting was called to order at 8:13 P M. by Chairman Schaumberg. Also
present were Aldermen Constantineau and Pi.enkos, Mayor GOttfried and Supt.
Bertram.
The m'inutes of the previous meeting were revjewed and placed on file.
The committee once again re-scheduled the tour of ,the City to review
possible road improvements. The tour was scheduled for Tuesday, May ‘Jlst
a at 4 30 P.M.
The committee reviewed a report from Building Inspector Lee regarding the
filling of land on S. Denoon Rd. The report indicated that permi,ssion
from the DNR had been granted by the owners of the property.
A discussion took place regarding Frank Narlock's requedt for $5,000.00
being held to insure comple.tion of drainageways. Action on the request
was deferred for two weeks to allow othe.r members of the committee t0
view the property in question.
Ald. Pienkos discussed the drainage ditch adjacent to the Yanney property
in the area of Windsor Dr. and S.T.H. 24. At the present time he is
unable to obtain the necessary easement on the above property.
A discussion took place regarding the ground cover in the industrial
park and along the ditch lines supt. Bertram will inspect the grass
in the industrial park this summer and if no substantial growth has

,occurred by September 15, 1977, the committee agreed that the industrial
park would be re-seeded. supt. Bertram also requested that the committee s . . . view the area when they make their annual street tour.
Mr. and Mrs. Tolfa, owners of property at the corner of Muskego Drive and
East Drive, have requested the installation of concrete inverts in this
area. The committee will also review this matter when tour of streets
is made.
supt. Bertram discussed with the committee the many requests he has had for the installation of storm sewers in road ditches in residential areas,
He indicated that the homeowner pays for the storm sewer and it is
installed by his department. However, because of the many requests and
the pressures of other needed projects he will defer any new requests for
installation until the fall of 1977.
The committee reviewed correspondence from the Engineeri~ng Firm of Ruekert
and hlielke which involved charges for work done for Country Club Oaks,
Guernsey Meadows, Kristin Downs, etc. The comnittee noted that all such charges are paid for by the developers.
The committee reviewed correspondence from Fidelty and Deposit Company
regarding the surveyor's bond for Kri.stin Downs Subdivision along with
a recommendation from Building Inspector Lee that the request be granted
subject to the receipt of the surveyor's written statement that all pipes
have been placed. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of release
of surveyor's bond in the amount of $2,500 DO subject to the receipt of

the surveyor's written statement 'that all. pipes have been placed for
Kristin Downs Seconded by Aid Constantineau, motion carried.
supt. Bertram discussed with the commi.ttec the ex.tension of storm sewer
on the Dietzler and Mattson Properties by Rite Realty.
Aid Pienkos requested a letter be sent to the City of New Berlin regard- ing debris emanating from the drive-i.11 ,theater. Mayor Gottfried will correspond with New Berlin regarding tllis matter.
8 Ald. Schaumberg moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Constantineau, motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9 37 P.hf.
