MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 6, 1977
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg at 8:40 P.M.
Also present were Aldermen Dumke and Tomczyk and Supt. Bertram.
present were Robert Wollman, Tony Zinski, Dorothy Van Lanen, and
Aldermen Pienkos and Wallner.
Mr. Zinski, a resident of Hillview Subdivision, presented a petition
signed by 38 persons living in the area of Hillview Drive. Mr. Zinski
advised that the present lake access had originally belonged to the
Hillview Association, however, the city acquired 25' as a road
extension.

Mr. Robert Wollman, Durham Drive, appeared at the meeting. He stated
he felt the parking facilities at Idle Isle were not sufficient. He
felt the city should provide more parking area.
Mr. Wollman requested if the City Attorney had as yet given a determinatior
for using the utility easement for drainage in the area of Durham Meadows for drainage purposes. SUPerintm'Ubnt Beamstated he would check into the
matter and the problem should be resolved by the next meeting date.
The committee discussed the status of the Bay Lawn - Freedom Acres
Sewer Project. It is now noted that the Milwaukee Metropolitan
Sewage Commission have inspected Freedom Acres and official approval
should be forthcoming shortly. They are presently in the process of
inspecting the Bay Lawn Subdivision and if no problems are discovered
they should also be approved. Once official approval has been re-
ceived the first lift of asphalt will be laid and the residents will
be permitted to begin connection.
The easement necessary for the Bass Bay Channel Project has been
prepared and Supt. Bertram will have Mr. Martin Ludwig sign same.
Supt. Bertram advised that he has met with Mr. Ray Gray and the
landscapers of Guernsey Meadows Subdivision to discuss areas needed
to be re-seeded. He advised the committee that the landscapers had
returned however he is still not satisfied and will again contact
Mr. Gray regarding the matter.
The committee is still waiting for Attorney Buckley's report on South
Denoon Road drainage problem.
Mr Bertram discussed the mower he had previous intended to purchase
however, is is now looking at another comparable model which could
be less expensive.
The committee discussed the possibility of completing the invert
from S.T.H. 24 to Windsor Road in 1977. They noted several problems
must be resolved before the project could begin not the least of
which is the possible necessity of moving a Century fence presently
located either in or on the west side of the ditch. Ald. Schaumberg
moveh,to direct Supt. Bertram to review the matter to determine
whether or not the fence would have to be moved. If it does not
pose a problem the Common Council will be requested to authorize the
preparati6qof plans and specifications for the project.

Supt. Bertram advised the committee that Boxhorn Dr. will be seal-
coated in the near future

The committee authorized Supt. Bertram to bid on 18" and 24" concrete
piping available at the Cudahy Packing Co.
Ald. Dumke advised the committee that he will obtain the necessary
easements for the cleaning of the ditch on Boxhorn Drive.
The minutes of the meeting held 9/22/77 were reviewed and placed
on file.
Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Tornczyk. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 1O:lO P.M.
