MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 19, 1977
The meeting was called to order at 8:37 P.M. by Chairman Schaumberg. Also
present were Mayor Gottfried, Aid. Ford, Supt. Bertram, Building Inspector
Lee and Aldermen Wallner, Constantineau and Pienkos.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
The committee discussed the matter of how to handle requests by Muskego
residents for fill from the Town of Norway sewer project Building
Inspector Lee gave a comprehensive report and pointed out that our
zoning ordinance requires city approval to change the topography of a
lot. Alderman Ford urged that extreme caution be exercised before
approving fill for low lying areas. The committee recommended that
the Building Inspector's Office make an on-site inspection for each
fill request. Mayor Gottfried will write to the sewer contractors
involved regarding this matter.
Ald. Ford moved to require that the Scott Kraus sewer be re-designed
to place the main at a 10' depth upon the recommendation of Ruekert
and Mielke. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
The committee reviewed the preliminary plat for the Ceille property and indicated that concrete inverts will be required for the large
drainage swale.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend to the Safety Committee that a
street light be placed at the intersection of Mercury Drive and S.T.H. 24.-
Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to require DeBelak Contractors to saw cut any breaks >
they must make in the asphalt ditch inverts along Roger Drive to make it easier for the city to repair them. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. , 2
The committee reaffirmed its policy of not allowing citizens to cut
dead trees on city property for firewood or any other reason.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 10.06 P.M.
