PWCommittee- MINUTES - 2/3/1972ii * - PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 3, 1972 Chairman Burgermeister called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Foldy and DeBack, Mayor Gottfried and Engineer Barry. Mr. Frank Ruekert of Ruekert & Mielke appeared to discuss grading plans for the Industrial Park. Plans will be brought back to the next Public Works meeting in an effort to finalize for bidding. The following bids were received for two new highway trucks: Badger Ford Truck $ 30,936.OO International Harv. Co. - Brookfield 28,642.OO Milwaukee Truck Center (Diamond Reo) 31,764.OO Waukesha Truck Sales (Intn'l Harv. Co.) 28,830.OO Bids will be reviewed by the Public Works Committee and Supt. Bertram and will be brought back for discussion at the next meeting. Clark Barry reported on water main specifications. The committee directed Engineer Barry to draw up the specs and bring back to the Public Works Committee for study. The following correspondence from Engineer Barry was reviewed: To City Clerk Bowyer regarding charge of sewer inspectors to Woodhill Subdivision To City Clerk Bowyer regarding engineering inspection of Parkland Plaza To Wis. Dept. of Transportation regarding the intersection of Parkland Plaza and S.T.H. 24 Ald. DeBack moved to recommend payment to Michels Pipeline Construction in the amount of $9,740.00 for the Gold Drive Bridge Project. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Applications for Employment with the Public Works Dept. from the following persons were received: Roy W. Heckman, W128 S6391 Emerson Dr., Hales Comers Richard P. Mathews, 212 W. North St., Apt. 1~4, Waukesha Ald. Foldy moved to give permission to Clark Barry to attend the Piblic Works Construction Inspection Institute in Wausau. Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion carried. Engineer Barry reported the Building Inspector Lee requested the Public Works Dept. to demolish a building on Kurtz Lane. Committee agreed that the Public Works Dept. would demolish the building. Letter directed to Engineer Barry from Inman, Inc. regarding the re- setting l/4 section comer on the Waukesha-Racine County line on Union Church Rd. was reviewed. '. Aid.
