0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 21, 1972
Chairman DeBack called the meeting to order at S:OO P.M. Also present
were Committee members Schaumberg and Ford, Aldermen Foldy and Knudsen,
Mayor Gottfried, Engineer Barry and Supt. Bertram.
Mr. Vipond and Mr. Richter of Berger Lane appeared to discuss who should
be responsible for the finish grading of sewer fill trucked into their area
-e and surrounding lots. Engineer Barry explained that wet weather has pre-
vented the sewer contractor from completing the grading. The committee
agreed to contact Ed Ryan and ask him to continue grading in the area once
weather permits.
Mr. Nino Coello of 165th & College Ave. appeared to report a drainage
problem on his land and adjacent properties caused by an undersized
culvert under College Ave. Mayor Gottfried will write to the Waukesha
County Highway Dept. and request additional pipes be put in to handle
the water.
Mr. Fred Bauer and Mr. Ed Frami of Ruby Drive appeared to discuss a
drainage problem. Supt. Bertram will survey the area.

Carl Wauer appeared to report that sewage is backing up into
their basement because the Lannon Drive lift station is not working
properly. Ald. Knudsen suggested that the Sewer Committee invite Ruekert
& Mielke to a special meeting to determine whether to replace the lift
station or to upgrade it.
A discussion was held regarding the ditches along Richdorf Drive and
adjacent areas and the cost of asphalt inverts for same. The committee
agreed to have asphalt inverts installed only along Sunset Drive for
the time being.
Supt. Bertram reported that it is not feasible to have a drainage tile
to Little Muskego Lake solely on the Swanto property and that an easement
must also be obtained from George Schaefer.
For various reasons, no action has yet been taken on the following
matters:
(a) A sub-drain along the John Schmidt property.
(b) La~ndscaping on the Sablich property.
Supt. Bertram reported that State Sand and Gravel will resurface Crowbar
Road in front of their property.
9 Mayor Gottfried reported that the new owner of the Patton property has
agreed to give a 12' drainage easement to the city along the south lot line.
A discussion was held concerning the drainage ditch along the Peterson
property on Martin Drive. No new action was taken.
Ald. Knudsen reported a drainage problem at the Zinner property on Simandl
Drive.
-0 Supt. Bertram will talk to Robert Sadowski on Topaz Drive regarding his
drainage problem.
Ald. Schaumberg reported that the creek in Glenbrook Subdivision needs
cleaning.
Ald. Foldy reported that a water problem exists on the Truesdale property
caused by fill from Gumieny and Couture.

Ald. Foldy reported that Sherwood Circle, south of Tess Comers Drive,
should be paved by Ryan Construction Co.
Engineer Barry reported that he needs clerical help to get letters typed.
Mayor Gottfried reported that the developers of Parkland Plaza want the
city to accept the Parkland Plaza roads before the first of the year. The

committee decided that there was not enough time remaining during this
season for the developers to make the roads acceptable to the city. Ald.
Ford reported that the developers still have not established cover on
their ditches although they have had two summers to do so.
Correspondence and job applications were reviewed and placed on file.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Ford. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 12:30 P.M.
