Supta Bertram presented plans and speCi for the bidding of
concrete 1nvèrts in the Pountainwood ditch along Saroyan from
Conrad C~'u~t westerly to Sher~Hcod Ci. rcle. These 'Id.ll be reviewed
by th~ city engineer and 'b)V the e01ntDittee members with action to
betaken at the next meeting.
The follovirtgdra1nage problems and solutions were discussed:
'a) Clarence Patton propel"ty - no action will be taken until

from Mr. Patton's attorney. b) Supt. Bertram reported tbat the drainage problem at the

Mayo~ Gottfried reported that the bids for the Industrial Park
Grading included the completion of Mercury Drive grading, but
that work was not to be included. Mayor Gottfried will discuss
these bids with Ruekert & Mielke.
Engineer ~arry's Reports:
Engineer Barry reported that the Industrial Park sign was not
yet finished, but soon will be.
Eng. Barry reported that the time has come for the city to ~et
tough with sewer contractors and demand completion of their work.
In the event that said contractors do not complete such work, the
city should bave the work completed and subtract the costs from
the retainer fees.
Eng. Barry suggested that occupancy permits be withheld for
Willow Woôd Sudbidivion until the drainage ditch on the north end
of the property 1s cleaned and repaired~
H~ also requested tbat Mayor Gottfried talk to Bldg. Inspo Lee
about the sorry condition of the drainage ditches in the new
Wocdhill Subdivision on Martin Drivso
Enginee~ Barry asked that the committee direct Plumbing Insp.
Robb to discontinue issuing laterai installation permits to Zidar
Plumbing and Schroder Plumbing until certain street openings are
repaired. Ald~ Ford moved to do so, Alde De Back seconded, motion
carried.

The committee di~ected Engineer. Barry to get a bid from Inman? Ince
to establish the Union Church Road monument and to replace lot line
markers on the Markgraf propeLty~
Supt4 Bertram stated that Dick.Thode haB volunteered to trap
muskrats that arè causing damage to aeration pipes in the sewerage
treatment lagoons.
Alderman Schaumberg requosted that a study be made to d~termine
ways of eliminating a dangerous cur~e on Durham Drive wh~re $
humber of accidents have occurred~ Engiüee~ Barry will prep8~e a
tentative sketch for a road reloc2tion.
Bids for the eonstruction of the new City Garage W8Te zeviewed~
