PWCommittee - MINUTES - 1/6/1972PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 6, 1972 Ald. Burgermeister called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Dumke, DeBack and Foldy, Mayor Gottfried and Engineer Barry. The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file. The following bids were received for regular gasoline and No. 2 fuel oil: Regular Gasoline Standard Oil Co. $.211 Per Gallon Spaight Oil Co. ,216 Per Gallon Midland Oil Co. .219 Per Gallon E. J. Salentine .224 Per Gallon Johnny's Petroleum .261 Per Gallon No. 2 Fuel Oil Spaight Oil Co. Midland Oil Co. Johnny's Petroleum E. J. Salentine Standard Oil Co. $.129 Per Gallon .133 Per Gallon .135 Per Gallon .151 Per Gallon .152 Per Gallon Ald. Burgermeister moved to accept the low bid of Spaight Oil Co. for No. 2 fuel oil and to reject all bids for gasoline. Seconded by Foldy, motion carried. Ald. Burgermeister moved to present a resolution to the Cormnon Council honoring Willard Bertram who is completing 20 years of service to the City of Muskego. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. The following applications for employment were received and will be placed on file: Robert H. Bierbower S92 W20081 Henneberry Dr. John T. Wegner S76 W19350 Sunset Dr. Ald. Foldy recommended that the Public Works Dept. review the culvert damage by Rock Contractors at Empress Court and take steps to remedy the situation. Engineer Barry to follow up. Ald. Foldy moved that an extra in the amount of $2,242.00 be granted to Michels Construction Co. for additional work being carried out on the Gold Drive Bridge Project. Seconded by Ald. Burgermeister, motion carried. Engineer Barry to have Ruekert & Mielke arrange for a title search regarding width of sections of Woods Road. The site corner at Gold and Agate Drives was reviewed. Ald. DeBack moved to present plans for municipal garage to the Plan Commission for site and operational approval. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Ron Ford has been invited to attend the next Public Works Committee meeting to discuss the status of Holz Island. Ald. DeBack moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried.
