MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 18, 1976

Chairman Schaumberg called the meeting to order at 8:30 P. M.
Aldermen Dumke, Constantineau, Wallner, Pienkos, Mayor Gottfried
and Superintendent Bertram were present.
The minutes of the previous meeting were received and placed
on file.
Applications for employment were reviewed and placed on file.
Mrs. Ada Butcher appeared to discuss with the Committee the
plans of Root River Investment Company €or Tess Corners Indus-
trial Park. Mrs. Butcher was advised that the sewer and road
construction plans have been approved by the committee and are
in the hands of the city engineers for final approval. Mayor
Gottfried was directed to contact Ruekert & Mielke to determine
the status of the plan approvals.
Supt. Bertram advised the committee that the bog that has blocked
the south channel of Big Muskego Lake could create many flooding
problems if it is not removed. He pointed out, however, that he
does not have the equipment necessary to do the work and that
the water level is so low that it would be impossible to float
the bog out to the lake. Mayor Gottfried was directed to contact
Senator James Rutkowski regarding assistance which might be
available from the state.
A communication was received from Mr. Ray Gray, representing
Rite Realty, for release of $160,873.36 for grading, sanitary
sewer and laterals, water mains and laterals installed in Kristin
Down subdivision. The committee noted that if the request is
granted sufficient monies are still available to insure completim
of the work. The committee agreed to release the funds as
requested.
Supt. Bertram advised the committee that the developers of Lincoln-
shire have promised to pay to the city the $6000 agreed to in the
construction of storm sewers in the area. He further pointed out
that the concrete invert which the city agreed to install from
the end of the storm sewer to Tess Corners Drive will be done by
the city in the near future.
Mr. Bertram advised the committee that he intends to do extensive
ditching on the west side of Woods Road near Highway 24. The
ditching will be on Chester Spitzner's property in order that trees along the right-of-way can be saved.
Supt. Bertram advised the committee that in his opinion, Mr.
Daliege has all the fill he needs to meet the grades originally
established by the committee when they approve the filling of his
property. Mr. Bertram was directed to advise Mr. Daliege that the
hauling of fill must stop. Mr. Bertram will also check the grades
once the fill has been leveled.
Mr. Bertram advised the Committee that several residents on Union
Church Road have agreed to provide him with the necessary ease-
ments in order that he can move the drainage ditch north of the
road right-of-way. Supt. Bertram was authorized to contact
Ruekert & Mielke in order that the easements can be descrtbed
and executed.
Supt. Bertram advised the committee that it was his intention to
begin the reconstruction of the curve on Woodland Place south
of Highway 24. He indicated that to create the right angle turn as originally lanned would be extremely costly and hazardous.
