PWCommittee - MINUTES - 6/2/1976.a 3 r. 4 0 l PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 2, 1976 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg. Also present were Committee members Dumke and Ford, Aldermen Nallner, Constantineau and Pienkos and Supt. Bertram. Mr. Michael J. Losek, representing Inman Engineering Co. and Mr. Wayne Foster, representing Wimmer-Blatter Realty, developers of Lake Lore Estates, appeared at the meeting to discuss roads, drainage, culverts, tree plantings, etc. at the proposed development. Discussion was held on the storm water drainage proposal which indicates all storm water to be drained into Lake Lore. It was the decision of the Public Works Committee to require 15" culverts rather than the suggested 12", that open swales would be permitted, if properly designed, between Lots 9 and 10 and 13 and 14, that a 15" culvert would be required on Outlot i/l and that a 15" storm sewer would be required between Lots 26 and 27, 5 and 6, 14 and 15. Considerable discussion also took place as to whether or not the city could reasonably require curb and gutter for this small development particularly since it is planned to build homes on only one side of the street. It was generally agreed that curb and gutters could be waived if a sufficient drain plan which would protect the area surrounding the lake from excessive erosion could be developed. Mr. Wayne Salentine and Mr. D. En-10 appeared at the meeting concerning the water problem on their property, The committee agreed that the city would install a new tile running from the catch basin in front of the Erno property to a tile running through the Roeske property. Mr. Emo to pay for the tile and the city would do the work. Also a new culvert would be installed across Kelsey Drive west of an existing culvert and Mr. Salentine and Mr. Guhr would pay for the cost of the culvert. Mr. Salentine agreed to open a 10" drain tile on the north side of Kelsey which is presently blocked, The city also agreed to construct a berm along the north side of Kelsey Drive. Mr. Bertram will again contact Mr. Ed. Kraus on Muskego Drive concerning the trees on his property which need to be removed.
