MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 8, 1976
Tha meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg at 7:30 P.M.
Also present were Aldermen Colbum, Constantineau, Supt. Bertram,
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Mattson and Mrs. Virginia Dietzler.
The committee noted that Resolution f/229-76 recently adopted contained
and error. The street name "Hillendale Drive" where mentioned in the
a resolution should be changed to "Hillside Drive".
Ald. Schaumberg moved to set the required financial guarantee needed
to assure completion of improvements for Lake Lore Estates Subdivision
at $25,000.00. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend that the Common Council authorize Ruekert
and Mielke to begin the re-design of the Martin Drive curve in conformance
with state and federal requirements. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion
carried. Ald. Ford suggested that landowners who would be affected by
the proposed relocation be invited to a future meeting to discuss the
matter.
The committee agreed to have Mayor Gottfried contact Rite Realty to urge
completion of a storm sewer between the Dietzler and Mattson properties
in Guernsey Meadows Subdivision.
0 The committee deferred action on the Tinti division until the next meeting.
Aid. Ford moved to recommend to the Common Council the hiring of Mr. Lee
Shane at the beginning wage of $5.41 per hr. Seconded by Ald. Schaum-
berg, motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to release $16,424.00 from the financial guarantee
presently held by the city for the Tess Comers Industrial Park (Ada
Butcher). Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to defer action on the request by National Exchangers
for release of $8500 held by the city to insure completion of improve-
ments for Shagbark Subdivision. Seconded by Schaumberg, motion carried.
The committee again reviewed the 1977 capital budget.
Ald. Constantineau requested the following:
(a) Another sand barrel on Lochcrest Dr. Hill
(b) Sand barrels at Prospect and Hickory La. and on Lakeview Dr.
"Slow-Children" signs on Hillside Dr.
{dc; Th e removal of sediment at the Wentland Dr. lake access.

The committee authorized Supt. Bertram to take advantage of some bargain
prices on steel culvert pipe.
The committee agreed with Supt. Bertram that there would be no advantage
to having a half crew on duty the Monday after Christmas.
Supt. Bertram suggested that the committee and the Park Board look into
the possibility of establishing a city nursery on some portion of the
~0 former Bluhm farm.
