PWCommittee - MINUTES - 11/17/1976PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 17, 1976 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg at 8:30 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Dumke, Wallner, Pienkos and Supt. Bertram. Supt. Bertram reviewed with the committee the proposed plans submitted by Ray Gray which could be used to install a storm sewer between Lots 29 and 30 in the Guernsey Meadows Subdivision, said storm sewer to be extended to the rear lot line of the Dietzler and Mattson properties. Aid. Schaumberg moved that the proposed plans be approved, seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Supt. Bertram reported that he is still attempting to remove the bog in'Big Muskego Lake in the vicinity of Caesar's Dam. The committee discussed the possibility of opening Luehring Drive to provide more efficient snowplowing and to improve fire department and rescue service to the homes in the area. Supt. Bertram to contact First National Bank of Waukesha regarding a vehicle count on Highway 24 which will be required if their efforts to have the State construct a shadow lane are to be successful. The committee received correspondence indicating that the developers of Lake Lore Subdivision will install a storm sewer to the lake. The committee received correspondence indicating that Roger Johnson, developer of Shagbark Subdivision, has agreed to install inverts along Martin Drive this fall. The committee discussed the problem of the endwall on the Eugene Johnson property on Lannon Drive. Correspondence received from the developers of Lake Lore Subdivision requesting that a bond be set to insure completion of all improvements. The matter will be considered at the next meeting. The committee discussed the matter of the dangerous curve on Martin Drive in the area of the former Nike Site and reviewed correspondence from the Waukesha County Highway Commission indicating that it is possible to receive 75% of the cost of the project from the Safer Off-System Act of 1977. They also reviewed correspondence from the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation indicating the need for re- designing the project in order to meet design standards of the Off- System Project. The committee will review the matter at its next meeting. Supt. Bertram reported that the ditch problems on Groveway Lane have been resolved. Ald. Schaumberg moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald.
