PWCommittee - MINUTES - 10/25/1976PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO @MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 25, 1976 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg at 7:OO P.M. present were Ald. Dumke and Supt. Bertram. Mr. Don Dietzler and Mr. Clifton Mattson appeared at the meeting to discuss a drainage problem on their lots located in Guernsey Meadows Subdivision. Mr. Bertram will contact Rite Realty regarding the Also *possibility of extending storm sewer main to their rear lot line. Mr. Harry Buske appeared at the meeting regarding ground fill that had been placed adjacent to his lot located on the corner of Pearl Dr. and Crest Dr, in Jewel Crest Subdivision, causing a change in natural drainage. The committee directed that Zoning Officer Lee contact Mr. Carl Gratzek to have him comply with his original agreement that he would create a swale to drain the water to Gold Drive. The committee reviewed the following bids for a new highway dump truck: St e f f en- Johns 1976 Chevrolet $5,631.00 net cost Badger Ford Truck 1977 Ford 5,938.99 GMC Metro 1977 GMC 5,660.00 'I eupt. Bertram recommended that because of trade-in value and a net cost difference of only $29.00 it would be advantageous for the city to purchase a 1977 model. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Council approval of the acceptance of the bid of GMC Metro at a net cost of $5,660.00 for a new 1977 model GMC highway dump truck. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file. Supt. Bertram reported that he is still seeking a contractor to remove a bog in Big Muskego Lake in the vicinity of Caesar's Dam. Applications for employment were received and placed on file. Ald. Schaumberg moved that $500.00 be released to the Dretzka Construction Co. for completion of a road cut on Bay Lane, Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Ald. Schaumberg moved to release $500.00 to Brookfield Culvert Co. for concrete inverts for Westwood Dr. and Lannon Dr. ditch, this being the final payment for that project. carried. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion aommunication received from Ruekert & Mielke recommending not to install the inter-connecting water main from Lake Lore to Tudor Oaks development until the lands to the east are developed, the installation of water main along 250 feet of McShane Drive, However, they did recommend Ald.
