PWCommittee - MINUTES - 4/17/1975PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 17, 1975. l ~The meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg at 8:35 P.M. Also present were committee members Ford and Dumke, Mayor Gottfried, Aldermen Wallner and Colburn andMr. Frank DeAngelis. The committee reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting. Ald. Ford moved to amend the minutes of the April 3, 1975, meeting, paragraph 3, regarding a. installing a 15" tile through the Roeske property as follows: "Aid. Ford moved to direct Supt. Bertram to obtain the necessary easements to install a 15" tile through the John Roeske property". Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Supt. Bertram to report back to the committee at the next meeting the cost estimate, etc. The minutes were placed on file. The committee reviewed a communication from Mayor Gottfried directed to Mayor Eberle of the City of New Berlin regarding the sharing of cost of lighting at the proposed car pool parking lot. The committee is waiting the reports of the appraisers regarding the Viola Kurtxe land. Mr. Paul Klenkosh, W167 S7206 Briargate Lane, appeared at the meeting to request if he can cement his driveway ~- out to the street. Supt. Bertram gave several reasons why he could not, the main reason being the danger 0 when snowplowing or replacing the culvert if necessary. Supt. Bertram to survey the drainage problem in the area. The architects of Tudor Oaks were present at the meeting to discuss the drainage of this property. Ald. Ford moved to approve the Tudor Oaks drainage plan subject to the following: (1) correction of existing drainage problem along McShane Road along the northwest part of the property. (2) the creation of a temporary water retention pond which will become permanent when the golf course is completed. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. The Public Works committee discussed the drainage problem in each ward as submitted by the aldermen which will require the expenditure of money from the capital budget in 1975. It was agreed that the following projects should be considered in 1975: Ward 1 - Fountainwood ditch Ward 2 - Freedom Acres & adjacent to the John Pellant property Ward 3 - Adjacent to the John Ross property in Muskego Shores Ward 4 - Kingston Grove triangle Ward 5 - Bay Shore area Ward 6 - Tile through the John Roeske property Supt. Bertram was directed to get cost estimates for these projects. .~# Ald. Ford moved to recommend Council approval of a resolution advertising for bids for the continuation of the Fountainwood ditch project. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. Ald. Ford moved to have Building Inspector Lee take the necessary steps to stop the filling of the large pond north of Gold Drive. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. l Supt. Bertram to meet Mr. Joe Smukowski to discuss the possibility of acquir- ~ ing a quit claim deed for the purpose of constructing a turnaround at the end of Thode Drive. Mr. Bertram to arrange with the American Tile Co. for the purchase of seconds of culvert pipe. Ald. Dumke. moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
