MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 23, 1975
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Schaumberg.
Also present were Aldermen Ford, Dumke and Colbum and Supt. Bertram.
* The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
Eleven persons were present at the meeting for the purpose of discuss-
ing the extending of the north leg of Wentland Drive. All expressed
opposition to the proposed extention to Gold Drive. They would not
be opposed, however, to extending Wentland Drive to a cul-de-sac in
order that Mary Androjna could develop her property for which she has
received a sewer assessment.
Resolutions i/225-74 and f/213-74 regarding the renaming of Hi Y Drive
in Hi Y Ranches Subdivision were discussed. They were referred back
to the Safety Committee for clarification.
The committee is waiting for drawings of the relocation of Kurtze Lane.
0 Supt. Bertram reported that Payne & Dolan would be requested to repair
the manhole at the east end of Hedgewood Drive where it was extended to
serve the Schwabenlendar property.
Applications for employment were reviewed and placed on file.
The committee is awaiting a report from Building Inspector Lee regarding
the razing of the former St. David's Church on Ruby Drive.
Mayor Gottfried is being requested to insert an article asking the
citizen's opinion regarding the city buying trees and selling them to
people at cost.
Ald. Ford moved to authorize Public Works employees to attend the
construction equipment exposition in Chicago. Seconded by Ald. Dumke,
motion carried,
The committee discussed the curve on Glenbrook Drive north of S.T.H. 24.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 10:00 P.M.
