MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 3, 1975.
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Schaumberg. Also
present were Aldermen Ford and Dumke, Mayor Gottfried and Mr. Frank DeAngelis.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
Mr. Alvin Guhr and Mr. Wayne Salentine were present to discuss the drainage
problem on their land caused,

in part, by the reconstruction of Kelsey Drive.
t was estimated by Mr. Bertram that the cost of tiling to remove the problem
would be approximately $2500.00. Ald. Ford moved to direct Supt. Bertram
to plan on installing a 15" tile through the John Roeske property to alleviate
the problem. Mr. Bertram is to also contact the people involved to obtain
the necessary easements to place the tile. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
The Safety Committee to check on the need for a "stop" sign at the intersection
of Roger and Mystic Drive.
It was reported by Ald. Dumke that the "stop" sign at Kurtze Lane and Woods
Rd. was down.
Ald. Ford moved to reconxnend that the City of Muskego and the City of New
Berlin share the cost of the necessary street light in the proposed off

street parking near the intersection of Racine Ave. and the Rock Freeway
which will be used for individuals involved in car pools. Seconded by Ald.
Schaumberg, motion carried.
A communication has been sent to the property owners on W. Tower Drive
regarding their road construction assessment.
Appraisers have been selected for Kurtze Lane construction project.
Ald. Ford moved to have Mayor Gottfried contact the State Highway Dept.
regarding the possibility of sharing the cost of constructing a passing lane
on the south side of Janesville Road between Lannon Drive and Parkland Drive.
Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to have the Public Works Department paint the necessary
crosswalks as per the Police Department study of 213175. Seconded by Ald.
Dumke, motion carried.
The committee directed Mayor Gottfried to have the Engineering Firm of
Ruekert & Mielke prepare a drainage plan for the watershed affecting Glenbrook
Subdivision.

Ald. Ford moved that the Public Works Committee shall discuss at its next
meeting drainage problems in the city which require expenditures of money
from the capital budget. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. All aldermen were urged
to contact the committee of any specific problems they are aware of. The
motion carried.
