MINUTFS OF MEETING RRLD MARCH 6, 1975
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Schaumberg. Also
present were Aldermen Ford, Dumke and Colburn, Supt. Bertram and Mayor
Gottfried.
Owners of property abutting Kurtse Lane were present at the meeting for
the purpose of discussing reconstruction of that road.
The committee discussed the recent bids of sewer cleaner and truck. Supt.
Bertram explained to the connnittee that the truck or sprayer attached
were not included in the Bruce Equipment Co. bid.
Mr. Bertram discussed with the committee subdivision construction spec-
ifications of other municipalities in regard to curbs, gutters and atoms
sewers.
The developers of Guernsey Meadows and Kristin Downs will be notified
that curb and gutter and storm sewers will be required.in those proposed
subdivisions.
Ald. Schaumberg moved that a guard rail on the east side of Glenbrook Dr.
near the intersection with Highway 24 be installed by the Public Works
Department. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried.
The minutes of the previous meeting. of the Public Works Committee were
read, approved and placed on file.
Ald. Charles Colburn discussed with the committee the drainage problem
and ditches in Parkland Subdivision.
Ald. Ford moved to deny a request from Frank Narlock to release $3800.00
to Don DeBack for work done in Lakeview Hills. Seconded by Ald.
Schaumberg. The reason for denial being that there is not enough money
in the bond to finish the work. Motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend Council approval of a resolution requesting
Ruekert & Mielke to make an engineering report of necessary work for
improvement of Union Church Drive. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend Council approval of a resolution
accepting the report of the Public Works Committee regarding Kurtze Lane.
Seconded~~by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried,
