l MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 20, 1975
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg at 8:30 P.M. Also
present were Alderman Ford, Mayor Gottfried, and citizen Frank De Angelis.
Bids for the sewer cleaning machinery were reviewed. Chairman Schaumberg

moved to recommend Council approval of the bid of Bark River Equipment
for a Bean Sewer Cleaner in the amount of $14,268.00 and the bid of
International Truck in the amount of $6,339.53. Seconded by Alderman Ford,
motion carried.
Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
Dicussion was held regarding a new salt shed. Action was deferred for
four weeks so that Supt. Bertram can get more information about the building.
The Committee agreed to extend the paved surface of Silver Drive to its
junction with the Ruby Drive right-of-way.
The Committee reviewed the request by Mary Androjna to have Wentland Drive
extended to service her property. It was noted that eleven people appeared

at the January 23rd meeting to express their preference for a cul-du-sac
rather than opening up Wentland Drive to Gold Drive. After some discussion
the committee agreed to recommend the cul-du-sac street arrangement to the
Plan Commission.
Chairman Schaumberg moved to recommend that Attorney Buckley begin assessment
proceedings to recover the cost of improving Tower Drive. Seconded by
Alderman Ford, motion carried.
The Committee will review Section 8.8 of the Land Division Ordinance per-
taining to unpaved road ditches and open drainageways within subdivisions.
Supt. Bertram will get a sample ordinances from other communities.
Applications for employment were reviewed and placed on file.
Supt. Bertram will obtain costs for a guardrail along the east side of
Glenbrook Drive near its intersection with Janesville Road.
Supt. Bertram will meet with the County Agricultural Agent on February 23rd
to determine whether salt spilled from a city truck was the cause of a
tree dying on the Stanley Dombrowski property.
0 The Committee agreed to provide a paved deceleration lane along Loomis
Road at its intersection with Loomis Drive.
Alderman Ford moved to adjourn at 11:OO P.M. Seconded by Chairman Schaumberg,
motion carried.
