MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 7, 1974
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg at 4:lO P.M.
Also present were Aldermen Ford, Knudsen, Dumke, Czarnecki, Supt.
Bertram and Mayor Gottfried.
Mr. R. Kastello and Mr~. John Laiman appeared at'the meeting to‘be

interviewed for a position on the Highway Department.
Mrs. Patricia Cotton and daughter Jean were here as guests.
Mr. John Millard appeared regarding his bid for a Case tractor.
Mr. Russell Paepke appeared at the meeting regarding a water problem
on Boxhorn Drive. Aldermen Schaumberg and Dumke to review the area.
Mr. Bertram will review the drainage in the vicinity of Kipling and
Windsor 8nd will report back at the next meeting.
Mayor Gottfried to write to Mr. Peterson, Chairman of the Town of
Vernon concerning a drainage problem on Crowbar Road.

The committee will review a drainage problem on Hwy 36 west of Durham Dr.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to reject all bids received for the frontend
loader for the Public Works Dept. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to have Ruekert & Mielke prepare cost estimate for
concrete invert work as listed in the 1974 capital budget. Seconded
by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend Council approval for the advertising of
bids for road materials for 1974. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
It was the decision of the committee to recommend to the Council
through the minutes of the Public Works Committee that they offer
R. E. Lassa 06,OOO.OO for the property which is contemplated for the
connection of Shore Lane and Lochcrest Blvd.
The meeting adjourned at 7:lO P.M.
