PWCommittee - MINUTES - 3/21/1974PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO 0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 21, 1974. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg. Also present wereAldermen Ford, Dumke, Knudsen and Wallner, and %zpt. Bertram. Mr. Melvin Rheingans, Jane Ann Spieler, John Pellant and Ralph Zimmerman appeared at the meeting requesting the restoration of the shoulders of the recently paved roads and the asphalting or cementing of the drainage ditches in the Glenbrook Subdivision. Also that the curve be restored on Woodland Place. Mr. Bertram to contact Sweeney Landscaping for quotation of restoration of the road shoulders in Glenbrook and Belmont Greens Subdivisions. The committee will look at the culverts and ditches in Glenbrook and report back at the next meeting. Ald. Schaumberg moved that Mr. John Laimon be hired as a highway employee. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Ald. Ford moved to recommend to the Council the purchase of a Michigan 55B demonstrator front end loader from Aring Equipment Co. as per their proposal dated March 1, 1974, and subject to final inspection by Supt. Bertram. Seconded by Ald. Schaumber, motion carried. Ald. Dumke and Supt. Bertram will again view Boxhorn Drive regarding a water problem. l It was the committee's decision to have Supt. Bertram install a culvert under Kipling Drive at its intersection with Windsor Dr. Communication received from Mr. Donald Mahon regarding trees destroyed by weed cutting crew or when dredging of ditches took place. Mr. Bertram to report back at the next meeting. Committee to review letter of credit indicating a balance of $14,260.00 to guarantee final completion of all necessary work in Kurthwood Subdivision and to see if this amount included inverts. It was the committee's decision to asphalt the drive approaches on the driveways along Tess Corners Drive which continuously wash out. Ald. Schaumberg moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Dumke.
