MINUTES OF MEETING FIELD JANUARY 17, 1974
l The meeting was called to order by Chairman Schaumberg at 8:30 P.M. Also
present were Aldermen Ford, Dumke and Knudsen, Mayor Gottfried and Supt.
Bertram.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved and placed on file.

Mr. Bertram discussed the interviewing of men for a job in the Public
Works Department.
A lengthy discussion was held as to which roads in the city should be
given priority for complete reconstruction and those to be repaired and
paved.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend Council approval of having Ruekert and Mielke
prepare plans and specifications for reconstruction of a portion of Woods
Road between Sandy Beach Dr. and Ladwig Drive. Seconded by Ald. Dumke,
motion carried.
The committee is recommending that a traffic count be taken for some of
the main streets in the City of Muskego.

Ald. Ford moved to recommend Council approval of the hiring of an
additional highway crewman whose main duty would be mechanical work
provided that funds will be available. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved that the city accept the offer of the Wisconsin
Natural Gas Company to guarantee payment of any defect of any road or
grading as the result of gas line installation in lieu of any existing
bond. Seconded by Ald. Ford. Motion carried.
The committee to review the proposed ordinance changes concerning
Chapter 8.02 (Re: driveway and culvert installation) of the Municipal
Code.
The meeting adjourned at 1O:lO P.M.
