PWCommittee - MINUTES - 7/5/1973PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 5, 1973 0 The meeting was called to order at 4:00 P.M. by Chairman Schaumberg. Also present were Aldermen Ford, Czarnecki and Dumke, Mayor Gottfried and Supt. Bertram. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. l Mr. Kelly of Kelly Drive appeared at the meeting. He is to contact the owners of the property at the southwest corner of Kelly Dr. and Highway 24 to gain, if possible, an additional 10 feet of land to bring the road to city standards. Mr. Bertram will check the road standards to see if there is adequate gravel, road width, etc. and to bring estimates of the cost to bring the road up to standard to the next meeting of this committee. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Novak and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nimtz appeared at the meeting concerning the drainage ditch between Westwood Dr. and Lannon Dr. The matter was deferred for two weeks to wait for a report from Consulting Engineer John Mielke. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Switala appeared at the meeting concerning the culvert and ditch on Woods Road. Mr. Bertram to establish the road right-of-way on Woods Road at the Switala property to determine if the 0 trees are on the right-of-way. Ald. Dumke to discuss a joint venture with members of the various clubs around Big Muskego Lake to clean the canals around the lake. Supt. Bertram was authorized to asphalt the following streets in the city: Holz Drive, Gaffney Subdivision, Oak Hill Drive, Ladwig Drive, McShane Road, Bay Lane, Wauer Lane, Groveway Lane, Parker Drive, west of Highway "Y" and Gold Drive Bridge. Ald. Ford moved to advertise for bids to have a concrete invert installed in the drainage ditch Ln the Fountainwood area from Saroyan to Longfellow. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Ald. Schaumberg moved to approve the proposed road to serve the Kurtze property and to have John Mielke prepare the legal description - description to include 60' right-of-way to serve the Glenn Pellman property from Kurtze Lane. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. A discussion was held regarding the gasoline and diesel storage tank for the new city garage. Supt. Bertram to obtain at least two quotations.
