PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 7, 1973
Chairman Schaumberg called the meeting to order at 4:00 P.M. Also
present were Aldermen Dumke,Czarnecki, Supt. Bertram, Mayor Gottfried
and Mr. Grant Truesdell.
Mr. Truesdell appeared at the meeting concerning the drainage problems
behind the John Couture property pn Kipling Drive. It was agreed the
faulty sewer system will be connected and the, site graded. To be con-
cluded in 30 days.
Mr. Bertram will review conditions on Ladwig Drive and make recommendations
to this committee at the next meeting.
A representative of the County Forest Dept. could not give the committee
much help as to the value of the walnut trees along Woods Road.
Mr. Bertram will discuss the St. Paul's Church storm sewer problem with
Mr. Elmer Heilman for a final agreement.
\It was reported by Mr. Bertram that all recycling material was hauled
to market.
The committee disucssed Mr. C. Katsfey's drainage ditch problems. A
letter will be sent to the owner of the land to the southwest of Mr.
Katsfey's property in an attempt to have the ditch cleaned.
A request to gravel the alley between Michi Dr. and Center Dr. was
denied.
\ Mr. Bertram will contact Mr. Lemke for final restoration of his property.
The ditch in front of the LaRue property was discussed and it was the
committee's opinion to sod and backslope the ditch.
The Kelley Drive problem to be discussed at the next meeting.
The problem on Cornell Drive and the Thomka problem will be referred to
the Sewer Committee.
Mayor Gottfried reported that a representative from the DNR has begun
his survey of the dike and spillway as it related to the flood in April.
Mr. S. Nestengen advised the city that his report would take at least
a month to prepare.
Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
