MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 19, 1973
The meeting was called to order at 8;30 P.M. by Chairman Schaumberg.
Also present were Aldermen Dumke, Ford, Foldy, Wallner and Knudsen, Mayor
Gottfried and Mr. Bertram.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
w A letter to D & K Construction states that before the city would accept
the ditches in Parkland Subdivision, adequate provisions must be made to
prevent erosion. They agreed to follow all instructions from the city
regarding this condition. Schroeder and Paschke were authorized to provide
the final layer of asphalt on the streets.
Ald. Ford appeared for Mr. Frahm regarding his assessment for frontage on
Island Drive which has only been half paved. Mr. Bertram will provide the
cost to extend the blacktop to the end of the road.
Ald. Ford questioned if there is a catch basin or screen in the lagoon in
Parkland Plaza. He will check this and report at the next meeting.
Mr. Bertram to check Ladwig Drive and install "No Parking" signs. Ald.
Foldy reported "stop" sign missing on Hawthorne and Somerset.
0 Mr. Bertram to check asphalt on the sanitary cover at the end of East Drive
and he agreed to extend the culvert on Hi-View Drive.
A letter was received from Gebhard & Nell concerning the surface water at
the municipal garage site.
In reply to a letter from Mr. Skowronski, Mr. Bertram will check a drainage
problem of his and surrounding homes causing a water pocket on his property,
Letter was received from the State of Wisconsin, Dept. of Local Affairs
and Development, regarding the state purchasing of materials. A previous
letter has been received regarding this.
Mr. Bertram discussed the St. Paul's Lutheran Church's storm sewer complex.
A layout plan will be forwarded for consideration. Ald. Ford moved to
approve the plan for the storm sewer. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Mr. Bertram explained, upon the advice of Mr. Demshar, Waukesha Co. Highway
Commissioner, the maintenance of C.T.H. "00". It is maintained by Milwaukee
County in the winter and by Waukesha County in the summer. A meeting will

be held at 1O:OO A.M. April 25, 1973, to discuss this matter with Waukesha
County.
United Sewer is to give an estimate regarding the difference in costs for
either gravel or soil and seed for the ditches in Belmont Greens.
A water problem on Center Drive was discussed and Mr. Bertram will get a
cost estimate to correct the problem.
0 Ald. Ford suggested the railing around the dam be extended. Mr. Bertram
agreed to do this.
A motion was made by Ald. Schaumberg, as seconded by Ald. Ford, that the
city provide trucks and drivers for "Clean h Green Week" . Motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. The
meeting adjourned at lo:45 P.M.
