PWCommittee - MINUTES - 3/22/1973PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO 0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON MARCH 22, 1973 The meeting was called to order at 8:15 P.M. by Chairman DeBack. Also present were Aldermen Schaumberg, Ford and Dumke, Mayor Gottfried and Supt. Bertram. Correspondence from City Attorney Buckley regarding the status of Bay Lane as it relates to the city's agreement to accept it was reviewed. e Mr. Richard RozeKs driveway problem (Gaulke Drive) was brought up once more by Ald. Schaumberg. Supt. Bertram assured the committee that he would correct it as soon as feasible. Supt. Bertram reported that a 60" arch culvert has been installed at the end of Conrad Court. Supt. Bertram advised the committee on the condition of the box culvert under S.T.H. 24 in the vincity of St. Paul's Church. Ald. Schaumberg moved to authorize Ruekert & Mielke to describe the easement necessary. Seconded by Ald. DeBack, motion carried. The committee authorized Supt. Bertram to order the necessary pipe at this time to avoid a price increase. Supt. Bertram suggested that a "Yield" sign be placed on Camilla Dr. at 0 -' its intersection with Kipling Dr. The matter was referred to the Public Safety Committee. Supt. Bertram suggested that there should be more uniformity in the speed limits on Pioneer Drive from Highway 24 to Racine Ave. The matter was referred to the Safety Committee. Upon the suggestion of Supt. Bertrsm, the committee decided to give the developers of Parkland Plaza 60 days to carry out the landscaping plans and the cleaning and seeding or sodding of the drainage ditches. Supt. Bertram reported that Schroeder Plumbing Co. is conducting their work in the Fountainwood Subdivision in a dangerous manner as they are not showing excavations or erecting barricades. The matter was referred to Building Inspector Lee and Plumbing Inspector Robb. Ald. Ford moved to authorize the placement of a safety railing around the new Little Muskego Lake dam at an approximate cost of $325.00. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried. The committee authorized the placement of a natural gas line to the l approximate location of the park building to be erected in the new Schmidt Park. Ald. DeBack requested that Parker Drive be included in next year's asphalting plans. Ald. Schaumberg moved to authorize the advertising of bids for needed road materials for the 1973 Road Improvement Program. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried. l Ald. Schaumberg reported that Mystic Drive is in bad condition. A discussion was held on the proposed layout for the relocation of Kurtze La. The committee agreed that the road should be kept as far from the lake as possible. Ald. Ford reported drainage problems at the Fred Lentz property on Muskego 0 s":;;. along Gem Drive and near the intersection of Lentini Dr. & College Ave Bertram will check them out. Ald.
