PWCommittee - MINUTES - 11/21/1973PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER Zlst, 1973 6 he meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman Schaumberg. Also present were Aldermen Dumke, Foldy and Knudsen, Mayor Gottfried and Supt. I Bertram. Mr. N. Rambo appeared at the meeting to discuss the committee's decision of his request to create a road ditch around the former Patton pond in Fountainwood. He stated the algae level and nutrient level has raised since he purchased it, probably due to lawn fertilizer. a; Supt. Bertram and he committee will view the area before reconsidering their earlier decision. The following bids for a new backhoe/loader were reviewed: O-C Equipment Co., Inc. Milwaukee Ford Tractor, Inc. $pg.;g Tractor Loader Sales, Inc. 9:ooo:oo Milwaukee Engine & Equip. Corp. 10,921.28 Case Power and Equipment 11,yoo.oo Mid-States Machinery 13,701.oo After the bids are reviewed by Supt. Bertram the committee will meet prior to the next Council meeting to make their recommendation to the Council. Supt. Bertram reminded the committee of the need to change the, name of 6 edford Drive to Bristlecone Lane. This matter was referred to the Safety ommittee for recommendation. za;,,., rJ 0 Gs=- Mr. Bertram reported an estimated cost of $15.50 for 100 feet of fence needed at the city garage. Q Action was deferred on is matter. Mr. Bertram reported that E. J. Salentine has agreed to reduce his bill for pumping fuel from tanks to $150.00. Ald. Dun&e reported that a water problem has been created because of the storm sewer installed by the County on Highway "00". It was decided that because of concern expressed by other residents in the area to defer action until Ald. Dumke has had an opportunity to discuss the matter with the residents in the area. The committee must still view roads and ditches in Parkland Subdivision prior to recommendation of acceptance to Council. The committee will discuss the hiring of another public, works employee whose main responsibility would be maintenance of equipment at their next meeting. Ald. Foldy requested the committee to review the invert construction by Linnan Construction before approving payment. d. Schaumberg moved to adjourn, seconded by Aid.
