PWCommittee - MINUTES - 10/4/1973PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 4, 1973 0 The meeting was called to order at 4:30 P.M. by Chairman Schaumberg. Also present were Aldermen Czarnecki, Dumke, Knudsen, Schaumberg and Ford and Mayor Gottfried. The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file. Mrs. Kay LaRue appeared at the meeting concerning the ditch at Lake Dr. between Schubring and Pleasant View Drives. Mr. Bertram to review the situation and report back to the committee and Mrs. LaRue. Mr. Gordon Mross appeared at the meeting concerning the proposed lights for the city hall parking lot. The committee to review the numerous fixtures and report back at the next meeting. Ald. Ford moved to authorize Ruekert and Mielke to prepare a survey of Emerald Park Drive. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. Ald. Dumke reported that a city truck was forced to dump a load of salt on private ground when it became stuck last winter. The salt caused the loss of a tree and lawn damage. Mr. Bertram will be directed to investigate the matter. Ald. Schaumberg moved to release $9,000.00 of the remaining bond to the developers of Willowood Subdivision and that the balance of $5,000.00 be retained to cover the costs of final lift of asphalt and fees ($1,830.00) owed the city and that the roads and utilities in the subdivision be accepted by the Common Council. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried. Ald. Ford moved to release $2,245.00 of the remaining bond to the developers of Lincolnshire Subdivision and that the balance of $6,000.00 be retained to cover the costs of final lift of asphalt and fees ($2,700.00) owed the city and that the roads and utilities be accepted by the city. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Action will be taken to provide installation of culvert under the direct supervision of the Public Works Department.
