PWCommittee- MINUTES - 6/18/1970. CITY OF MUSKBGC PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 18, 1970 Chairman Wollman called the meeting to order at 4:00 P. M. Also present were Aldermen Burgermeister and Sapp, Mayor Gottfried and Highway Supt. Bertram. Mayor Gottfried was designated Acting Secretary. Bids were opened for rodder rooters, road graders and trucks. Mr. Tom Inman, representing Inman Engineering & Surveying, appeared regarding Muskego Shores Addition #l and the drainage problem relating to it. Mr. Les Rebernick appeared to discuss a water problem near his house resulting from the relocation of Highway Y. Chairman Wollman and Supt. Bertram will investigate. Correspondence from Prank Ruekert relating to South Denoon was read. Mr. Ruekert will be requested to attend a meeting to discuss several other road construction problems. A request from Mr. Rheinholz for a fence at the end of Hillview Drive was refused. A complaint from Mr. Margraves on Union Church Drive regarding the destruction of his boundary stakes by the construction company was discussed. Alderman Burgermeister moved to have the property re- surveyed, seconded by aairman Wollman, motion carried. The dumping of fill by the City Public Works Department was discussed. A form will be developed in an attempt to insure the fill will be properly leveled. The request by the City for state aid in replacing culverts in the Tess Corners area was refused. Chairman Wollman will make further contact with the state in regards to this matter. Alderman Sapp asked that the city consider developing the temporary cul-de-sac at the south end of Meadowdale. Supt. Bertram will contact the residents involved. The Weed Commissioner requested a revaluation of the present char es for mowing weeds. Alderman Burgermeister moved that a charge of f 15.00 per hour for man and equipment be established for the mowing of weeds, the minimum charges being $15.00, seconded by Chairman Wollman, motion carried. The Public Works Committee directed the building inspector to contact the telephone company regarding permits for street excavations. Alderman Burgermeister brought up the question of roads to the lift station. Supt. Bertram will meet with the City Engineer to discuss the problem. The status of Lake Drive was discussed. The Committee will view the area. Ald. Burgermeister moved to extend Gem Drive to serve the one remaining lot on Gem, seconded by Chairman Wollman, motion carried. The Public Works Committee will view a water problem on the Huber property. Easements for the storm sewer along the Lee and Browne property were discussed. It was agreed that the twenty foot easement from the Lee, property will be changed to a ten foot easement. Alderman Burgermeister moved to adjourn at 6:25 P.
