PWCommittee - MINUTES - 9/17/1970PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO 0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 17, 1970 Chairman Wollman called the meeting to order at 8:25 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Burgermeister, DeBack, Dwyer and Foldy, Mayor Gottfried and Supt. Bertram. l Mr. Ray Wallner appeared to discuss a road extension and sewer service for two lots in Oak Ridge (Hardtke's) Subdivision. Committee referred same to Sewer Committee. Committee discussed corner of Muskego Dam and Kelsey Dr. Action deferred until Supt. Bertram views the area for possible solution. Committee discussed renting of farm land of the former Bluhm property now owned by the city. Ald. Wollman will contact Harold Diekfuss and report back. Comer of Hillendale and Field Dr. was reported to have poor visibility due to brush that had grown there. Public Works Dept. will cut brush as soon as possible. 0 Road standards for new roads for the city were discussed. Committee will view some subdivision roads and make recommendation. The following applications for employment with the Public Works Dept. were received: James C. Helm, Pioneer Dr., Muskego, Wis. Donald Axtmann, W179 S6618 Ranch Dr., Muskego, Wis. The following bids were received for work on Tess Comers Creek at S.T.H. 24: Edward Ryan, Inc. $4,425.00 Brookfield Culvert 4,900.oo Ald. Burgermeister moved to recommend to the Common Council to accept the bid of Edw. R. Ryan, Inc. in the amount of $4,425.00. Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion carried. Ald. DeBack moved to place "No Trucking" and "Slow - Children Present" signs on Hi View Dr. where it intersects with North Cap$e Rd. and Durham Dr. Seconded by Ald. Burgermeister. Motion carried. 0 The Committee reviewed the 1971 Budget for the Public Works Dept. and they discussed the wage requests for the department. Ald. Burgermeister moved to adjourn the meeting.
