PWCommittee - MINUTES - 8/6/19700 e 0 0 a PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 6, 1970 Chairman Wollman called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Burgermeister, Foldy, DeBack, Mayor Gottfried, Building Inspector Lee and Supt. Bertram. The committee reviewed drainage problems on Richdorf Dr. and decided to table same until sewers were installed in the area. Committee discussed drainage problems in Meadowdale Subdivision and deferred action until a report from Ruekert & Mielke is received. Committee discussed Tess Corners drainage creek. Will contact Mr. Draeger from Brookfield Culvert to get figures on additional culvert through Highway 24. Received a letter from County Highway Commission, V. F. Demshar. Subject, former C.T.H. "Y" between College Avenue and Hillendale Drive, stating that they have approved some bituminous patching work and a sealcoat to be constructed over this entire section of former County highway. Placed on file. Copy of letter was received that had been written to Ron Ford of the Little Muskego Lake Association from County Highway Commissioner, V. F. Demshar. Subject: erosion on Projects - (1) S.T.H. 24, S. T.H. 15, C.T.H. "Y" (S-SU 0355) (2) SU 0347(4) C.T.H. "Y", C.T.H. "HI", C.T.H. "HH" - placed on file. Application for employment with the Public Works Dept. was received from Carl Robert Wieberg, S68 W12560 Woods Road. Placed on file. Committee decided to oil the short piece of road in Hi Y Ranches Sub. from Simandl to Hillendale Drive. Discussed lots in Oak Ridge Unrecorded Sub. Referred to City Engineer Ruekert & Mielke to check on sewer easements Andy Building Inspector to check on low land in the area. Committee discussed road improvements on Martin Drive and on Woods Road. Ald. Burgermeister moved to accept the terms worked out with Mr. Rudolf Heinrich and Hildegard, his wife, for the land needed to make some improvements on Woods Road. Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion carried. Discussed advertisement for City Engineer. Ad will go out next week. Reviewed some of the requests made in Public Safety Committee minutes of June 18, 1970. "Hill" sign on Lannon Drive - P.W.D. felt no more signs necessary. Hwy "24" - State installed temporary passing landes at Lowell and Poe's Pl. intersections. "No Parking" signs on Diamond at Jensen Park - No resolutionpassed passed by the Council as yet. Flashing lights at Tess Corners School - Not feasible to install at this time due to the proposed rebuilding of Hwy “24” in the near future. \ Speed limit signs have been installed on Woods Rd. coming out \ of City of Franklin and on Crowbar Rd. Lt; Kass will survey all roads for recommendation of speed limits. Supt. Bertram will get prices on some "Muskego" signs for some roads where they eriter Muskego. Ald. DeBack moved to adjourn.
