MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON JUNE 4, 1970
Chairman Wollman called the meeting to order at 4:05 P.M. Also present
were Ald. DeBack and Supt. Bertram.
Ald. DeBack moved to have the City Attorney draw new temporary
construction easements for Woods Road from Racine Ave. east to
Lannon Drive. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
Applications for employment with the Public Works Dept. were received
from the following people:
Alvin W. Zuelke, S70 W14363 Catalina Drive, Hales Corners
Thomas Novotny, S82 W13212 Acker Dr., Hales Corners
John Paulin, S83 W20618 Janesville Rd., Muskego
Daniel Quigley, 11005SW Coldspring Dr.
Letter received from County Highway Commission (Mr. V. F. Demshar)
regarding condition of old Highway "Yt' which is to be turned over to
the City when new Highway "Y" is finished.
The Committee discussed putting a sandseal on Hi-View Drive.
The.following bids were received:
A. W. Oakes & Son $11.00 per ton Hi View Dr., $3,374.40
Lang Engineering Co. 9.75 per ton Hi View Dr., 2,997.oo
Bid specs for Tess Corners drainage culvert were reviewed by the
Committee.
The Committee agreed that the drainage ditch which has been constructed
in Fohr's Subdivision will solve the drainage problem in that immediate
area and that it meets the requirements of what was required by the City.
Ald. DeBack moved to have Ruekert & Mielke establish the center line
of Muskego Dam Rd. east of the canal where road improvement is planned.
Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
The Committee reviewed plans from Ruekert and Mielke for the relocation
of Martin Drive near the Nike site. Ald. Wollman will contact Ruekert
and Mielke to ask about some revisions in the plan.
The Committee recommended that the road south of the Muskego Fire House
on Racine Ave. which was put in by Harold DeBack now meets specifications
of the city, that it be accepted by the city as a city road and that the
money deposited in the bank in the name of the city be released.
Ald. DeBack moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. The meeting
adjourned at 5:40 P.M.
