PWCommittee - MINUTES - 5/7/1970PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKFGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON MAY 7, 1970 Chairman Wollman called the meeting to order at 4:lO P.M. Also present were Aldermen Burgermeister, Sapp, DeBack, Mayor Gottfried, Supt. Bertram and City Engineer Kelsenberg. a Citizens from the Lochcrest Blvd. area appeared before the Committee concerned about road conditions in the area. The Committee felt that sewers should be installed in the area before any road improvements should be made. The following applications for employment with the Public Works Dept. were received: John Arthur Lyons, S74 W17382 Lake Dr. Marvin Masiakowski, W192 S7605 Racine Ave. A letter was received from Inman Surveying & Engineering regarding the extension of Grove St. Ald. Burgenneister moved that the City Engineer should contact Mr. Inman to solve the flow of drainage water in the area and that he must build the road as stated under our Subdivision Control Ordinance. Seconded by Ald. Wollman, motion carried. Road easements along Woods Road were discussed. Ald. Burgermeister moved to defer any action on this until the next meeting. Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion carried. Ald. Burgermeister moved that the city should place approximately 400 feet of tile from Richard St. to the lake to correct drainage problems in the area. Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion carried. Ald. DeBack moved to defer action on placing a new culvert in Muskego Drive until after sewers are installed. Seconded by Ald. Wollman, motion carried. The Committee discussed the ownership of Gold Drive. Records will be checked to get more information. Supt. Bertram reported that the Tree Ordinance now only covers dead elm trees. Ald. DeBack moved to refer the Tree Ordinance to the Rules, Laws 6 Ordinance Committee. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried. The Committee discussed the drainage problem near the Nursing Home on old Highway "Y". (Lions Park Drive). Supt. Bertram will call the County Highway Dept. to try to solve the problem. Fountainwood drainage was discussedi Aid; .Burge&neister moved that the Public Works Dept. would install the culvert and place fill on it, however the NEMCA organization would have to furnish the culvert and pay for any other services. Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion carried. wa,s discussed. The filling of a ditch on Saroyan Ct/ The Committee will view this area. The right-of-way bank on Woods Road in front of Viola Kurtxe's property was discussed. Mayor will send a letter to owner directing her to correct the problem. ‘\ The sloping of a bank on the ditch in Fountainwood was discussed but the C&muittee decided to take no action. \ Ald. Wollman set a Public Works meeting for 8:00 P.M. on May 13th and anno&ed that there would be a Sewer Committee meeting on May 18, 1970, at 7:30 ‘P.p. Ald. DeBackmoved to adjourn, seconded by Ald.
